Learn these truths before it’s too late
*Nutrition edition*
1️⃣ Stop megadosing biotin.
Most people with a reasonably balanced diet aren’t deficient in biotin. Hair loss is often linked to factors like stress, low iron, inadequate protein, hormonal changes, or something else - not a lack of biotin!
The biotin marketing was really good and it is over hyped!
2️⃣ If you’re emotionally eating, get honest with yourself.
Food can temporarily distract from stress, sadness, loneliness, or overwhelm but it is not a good coping strategy. There are much better strategies.
3️⃣ Eat for your future bone health.
Many women, especially Desi women, are low in vitamin D and calcium levels - later in your life this may cause osteoporosis and frail bones. Eat dairy products or other foods that contain calcium & vitamin D so your bones don’t deteriorate over time - this is very important.
4️⃣ Eat whole, minimally processed foods as often as possible.
Less processed food even if it’s marketed as healthy.
Not all processed food is bad - but you want to eat as much REAL food as possible.
5️⃣Don’t obsess over nutrition trends.
Every few years there’s a new “must-have” health trend. Coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, now creatine. Some have benefits, some are over-hyped but don’t over-focus on one thing… a balanced overall nutritious diet is your goal.
6️⃣Your sleep affects your weight more than you think.
Poor sleep can increase hunger, cravings, stress levels, and make healthy choices feel harder.
