Neck pain, lower back pain, and hip tightness can become nagging. When you are on vacation, you want to enjoy your time. If you are having chronic pain and discomfort and it gets worse, it is very difficult to relax and enjoy.

The solution can be using deep tissue massage for those stubborn muscles that are having a hard time relaxing.

Treatment, along with stretches and exercises, can be excellent tools to manage pain.

Deep tissue massage and treatments to the fascia can give you that relief, and it can also be used as a preventive measure. It can help with preventing tightness from getting worse.

At times, you will need more of an aggressive form of therapy. Deep tissue massage is it.

Extremely tight fascia can cause pain and discomfort locally and also up and down the chain.

The bottom of the feet are often ignored. This is an area where one can benefit from aggressive treatment to the fascia.

What can happen at times is that a person can find that they have very tight calves, hamstring, and hip discomfort. This can become chronic.

Local deep tissue massage, in this case, is insufficient. Positive responses can be minute. One must look elsewhere to achieve a greater impact, such as the bottom of the feet.

If it sounds like this is a picture of your circumstance, it can be time to treat the fascia of the bottom of the feet.

Patients who have lower back pain, hip pain, knee pain, and foot pain often ask about mattresses and pillows. At times, I've been asked about shoes.

As a therapist who has worked many years, it is ultra important to manage discomforts to work effectively and efficiently.

I did some research on potential shoes, and I stumbled upon the Birkenstock Bend sneaker. I decided to buy a pair and test to see if it made an impact.

Can these shoes help manage pain while being appropriate for office attire?

Realize that this is just one part of managing pain. You need a combo of therapy, such as deep tissue massage, chiro, or physio. Along with exercises.

You can watch our 8 point review and subjective grades on our YouTube or our website ventepainrelief.com. Watch now!

If you are doing a lot of dips, it can be the root of your chronic neck pain. If you are stretching like crazy and foam rolling. Possibly even using pressure points, without much success, it can be time to look at your exercise routine.

The dip can cause pain and dysfunction in the neck.

Treating the actual root of neck pain can be a puzzle at times.

Many of you have tried different therapies, and I am willing to bet that many of you have also had a strong focus on the local area.

It makes intuitive sense because you feel the pain and discomfort in the neck.

This can be the case, but you can find that you feel better for a few days, but the pain comes back to its typical levels.

The pain that you can feel can just be a symptom versus the root.

Deep tissue massage and mobilizing the thoracic spine can be the answer. In this video, I explain how the thoracic spine can be the root of the chronic neck pain that you are feeling. Watch now.

This muscle, Sternocleidomastoid, becomes prominent when you rotate your head and neck. Frontal headaches can be caused by this muscle when it becomes super tight.

Oftentimes, this tightness is caused by chronic long-term head forward postures. For example, when you are sitting in front of your computer at work.

Another common cause of this tightness is when you sleep and you habitually have your head rotated to one side.

If you are noticing frontal headaches along with neck tightness and pain, have this muscle checked.

If this is the root of the problem, relaxing it can give you significant relief.

If you are noticing lateral knee pain and discomfort, it can be stemming from down below.

The Fibula and Tibia join together twice to make 2 joints. That bump you notice just below your knee on the outside is the Fibular head. The Fibular head joins with the Tibia here to form the Suoerior Tib-Fib joint. Lower down, that second bump you notice is your "ankle bone". This area is where the two bones join together again to form the Inferior Tib-Fib joint.

When the Inferior Tib-Fib joint becomes locked, it can cause knee pain.
