This is a significant milestone of my life! I literally have been at my craft as a massage therapist for half of my life!

I have spent years honing and developing my style. The unique and successful style combines deep tissue massage and techniques to the fascia.

Doing something that you enjoy and have a career with it, is truly a blessing from above!

I am thankful to all of my family, friends, patients, and, of course, to Sandra, my partner in crime. She is my biggest supporter.

Ultimately, I have had a successful and sustainable career with all of your support.

I pray that I can continue for many more years. I pray that I can learn and continue to master my craft. There is a lot more room for learning and improvement.

Live an intentful life and stay focused.

Lastly, remember this Proverb,

" The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor."

Again, a gigantic thank you!

Deep Tissue massage is a very effective form of treatment, especially for chronic pain. Most people think that all that is required is adding more pressure by just using brute strength.

In reality, for deep tissue massage to be effective, there are a number of nuances to take into account.

Pressure is a very important factor, but there are a few other things that can make or break your treatment.

For example, the angle at which the therapist attacks a muscle or area. An angular change, even a slight one, can allow for the therapist to release a muscle more effectively.

Precision. Being a millimeter off on a particular muscle can impact the outcomes of a treatment. There can actually be good, better, and best areas to work on a muscle. The more precise the therapist, the better the chance that they can find "better" or "best" areas to treat.

Finally, point location. Understanding muscle referral patterns allows the therapist to adjust and focus on particular muscles. The better you are at this, the better you are able to distinguish which muscles to work on.

Using deep tissue massage effectively requires consistency. Over time, what you can notice is that symptom relief can be of a longer duration.

Headaches can be caused by referrals of tight muscles of the neck and shoulders that can refer to the head and face.

It can also be from extremely tight jaw muscles.

Did you know that headaches and pain to the face can also be caused by tight overused muscles of the face?

Many patients wonder if there are muscles in the scalp and face area. There is an assumption that it is all bone. The reality is that there are many muscles that attach to these areas.

These muscles of facial expression can become very tight due to stress. This tightness can cause headaches and pain to the face.

Usually, deep tissue massage can be utilized to relax areas such as the shoulders and neck. Massage to the face and scalp can also help manage pain symptoms.

Relax the muscles of the face, and you can notice that the headache and face pain symptoms fade.

Many of you know that it can be very difficult to find the right massage therapist. Often, you might try a few, and if you are lucky enough, it is a good fit.

It is one thing to find the right massage therapist, but it is certainly another thing when it comes to deep tissue massage. Finding real good ones is like finding a needle in a haystack.

One that holds true is that once you find the right one. Stick with them.

In my case, I have tried a few, but I have found myself always comparing them to this man.

I haven't gotten treatment from Abe in years due to his location. Ultimately, we (I say we, because it was both Sandra and I with appointments) sacrificed the distance because we knew that his work was outstanding. Over and above most.

He provides the pressure I require and knows exactly what is required for my condition. Today, Abe relieved some back, hip, and neck tightness and discomfort.

If you are in the Scarborough area and require excellent depth, he is the guy to go to!

Thank you, Abe!
