🩹 MYTH: Acute injuries just need rest and ice.

✅ FACT: Recovery may need more than that.

Early care can include protection, compression, symptom management, guided movement, and rehabilitation — depending on the injury.

🌿 TCM may also be incorporated during the acute stage to support recovery.

👉 The question isn’t just “Should I ice it?”
It’s “What does this injury need right now?”

🍂 How does our TCM team prepare for cold & flu season? — Part 2

🌲 Get Outside — nature, movement, less stress and better sleep.

🌿 Chinese Herbal Medicine — formulas are selected based on each person’s individual TCM constitution and pattern. Because herbal medicine isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Different approaches, one goal: supporting the body before cold & flu season hits. 💚

🍂 Don’t wait until you’re sick to start taking care of your health.

We asked 5 team members to share their go-to immune-supporting habits. 🌿

PART 1 👇

🧄🧅 Garlic + Onion — naturally occurring antimicrobial compounds.

🛡️ Weekly Gua Sha — traditionally used to support Wei Qi.

😴 Sleep — supporting healthy immune function and recovery.

3 down, 2 more to come! 👀 Stay tuned for Part 2.

💧 MYTH: “The more water you drink, the better hydrated you are.”

Not necessarily.

Hydration isn’t just about how much water you drink — it’s about balance. Your body also relies on electrolytes such as sodium and potassium to maintain proper fluid balance.

For most healthy people, plain water is usually enough for everyday hydration. But when you’re losing significant fluids through vomiting, diarrhea, or prolonged intense exercise, replacing both fluids and electrolytes may be important.

And more isn’t always better. Drinking excessive amounts of water can dilute sodium levels in the blood and, in extreme cases, lead to hyponatremia.

👉 The goal isn’t to drink as much water as possible. It’s to replace what your body actually needs.

💧 Hydrate smarter. Balance, not just volume.

When the patient thinks our admin is the doctor… 😂🩺

Admin: “I can definitely help you with your appointment.”
Patient: “And what do you think about my symptoms?”
Admin: 👁️👄👁️ Let me get your practitioner…

Our admin team knows a lot… but we’ll leave the diagnosing to the clinicians. 😂🌿
