Living with osteoarthritis? 🦴

Joint stiffness and discomfort can make everyday movements more challenging, but that doesn't mean you have to stop moving.

While osteopathy cannot reverse osteoarthritis, it may help you manage symptoms, maintain mobility, and feel more comfortable during daily activities.

Swipe through to learn how osteopathic care may support you.

The adjustment gets the attention, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle. 🧩

Real care starts with an assessment, continues with patient education, and is supported by what you do outside the clinic, including exercises, movement habits, posture, and lifestyle changes.

Because the goal isn’t just what happens on the treatment table. It’s about understanding the bigger picture and giving your body the support it needs between visits.

👉 Comment below: What’s one thing you do outside the clinic to support your body?

Do you have to choose between a chiropractor and an osteopath? 🤔

Not necessarily. It’s about understanding how the two approaches look at the body from different perspectives, but compliment each other (especially with CURE Clinic's team approach to care.

🔹 Chiropractic care provides a diagnosis for a muscle, nerve or joint condition. It focuses on spinal and joint mobility, while assessing full body muscle mechanics to source the root of the problem.

🔹 Osteopathy looks more broadly at how different areas of the body move, connect, and compensate for one another, while providing a gentle and relaxing hands on approach to care.

One approach may focus on a restricted joint, while the other may look at movement patterns and surrounding tissues that could be contributing to the restriction.

Understanding these different perspectives can help you see that there’s more to movement and discomfort than just one area of the body.

Tight through your hips and lower back? This stretch may help. 👀

The Ballerina Stretch is a simple movement that can help work through tension around the outer hip and lower back.

Here’s how to do it:

🔹 Cross one leg over the other and keep your front knee slightly bent.
🔹 Stick your hip out to the side.
🔹 Reach your arm overhead and across your body.
🔹 Add a gentle rotation to deepen the stretch.
🔹 Hold for about 30 seconds, then repeat 2–3 times.
🔹 You can repeat it throughout the day as long as it feels comfortable.

You should feel a stretch, not pain or a painful “crunching” sensation.

👉 Save this stretch and give it a try when your hips or lower back feel tight.

Sore after your workout? It doesn’t always mean you overdid it. 💪

That post-workout ache is often DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness), a normal response when your muscles are challenged in a way they’re not used to.

🔹 Your muscles are adapting. Exercise can cause small amounts of muscle damage and stress, which your body works to repair and rebuild.

🔹 It can take time to show up. You might feel fine right after your workout, only to wake up the next day feeling like you aged 20 years overnight. 😂

🔹 Keep moving. Gentle movement or a light walk can help you stay mobile while your body recovers.

🔹 Less soreness doesn’t mean less progress. As your body adapts, it can become more efficient at recovering. You don’t need to be sore for your workout to be effective.

But if your soreness feels sharp, lasts longer than a few days, or is concentrated in one area, it’s worth getting checked.

👉 Share it with someone who always gets sore after leg day.

What if you could measure how your body moves? 👀

The Kinmetrix Arc turns movement into measurable data, helping assess mobility, asymmetries, and movement limitations that may not always be easy to spot.

Here are 3 things it can help with:

➡️ Turns movement into measurable data
Instead of relying only on what movement looks like, the Kinmetrix Arc helps provide measurable information about how your body moves.

➡️ Highlights differences between sides
It can help identify asymmetries or movement limitations that may be difficult to notice with the naked eye.

➡️ Makes progress easier to track
Measurements can be compared over time, giving you a clearer picture of how your mobility and movement are changing.

Your movement tells a story. The right measurements can help us understand it more clearly.
