The Green Bench Documentary Screening Mosaic Home Care & Community Resource CentreIn collaboration with Schlegel Villages and Elder Care Transitions Inc. This film is an invitation to sit down, listen, and see older adults differently. It challenges the assumptions we make about aging and shows what happens when generations take the time to really talk to one another.

This screening is for anyone who works with, care for, or simply wants to understand older adults better: care providers, students, families, community groups, and neighbours alike. Come away with a new appreciation for the people who came before us, and the conversations still waiting to happen. Join us for a screening of The Green Bench. Bring a friend, bring a question, and be ready to listen and share your wisdom.

A day of community, creativity, and connection at Ward’s Island. 🌿

Mosaic celebrated Environmental Action Day at Sunshine Centre alongside Camp Sunshine and Splash on Earth. From singing and dancing to great food and arts and crafts, the day brought everyone together to enjoy the outdoors, build connections, and appreciate the environment around us. Thank you to Sunshine Centres for Seniors all the volunteers and to include Scotiabank volunteers a big thank you.

A day of teamwork, creativity, and celebrating 16 years of Mosaic Home Care.

Our team came together for our Fall Team Meeting, where we shared updates, enjoyed some fun skits, and took part in interactive team-building activities designed to get everyone thinking outside the box.

Teams worked together to create road designs using craft supplies and stickers to represent roadblocks, ideas, and solutions. Each group then presented their ideas to the rest of the team, sparking conversations and new perspectives.

We wrapped up the day with cake and Prosecco to celebrate an important milestone — 16 years of Mosaic Home Care!

What can we learn from people who live to 100?

We spent the day exploring the fascinating world of Blue Zones at Shepherd Village — five regions around the world known for having unusually high numbers of people who live to 100 and beyond.

We learned about the shared habits, lifestyles, and traditions found across these communities, and even got to experience some of their food traditions with dishes inspired by each of the five regions.

Of course, no community event is complete without good music. A big thank you to for entertaining everyone and setting the perfect vibe throughout the event.

And a special thank you to Shepherd Village for all the effort that went into making the day possible.

Good food, great music, new things to learn, and even better company — that’s what community is all about.

On Tuesday August 18th we met downtown for our community walk. This time we explored the Toronto Police Museum with vintage artifacts, interactive exhibits, true crime stories, took pictures of old vintage vehicles and even some of our attendees sat on the motorcycle and older police car.

After the event we had lunch at the iconic Frans Restaurant a historic
Toronto diner that's been around since 1940. This gave our attendees to sit down together, have discussions and meet new people.

A big thank you to the Toronto Police Museum and Fran's Restaurant.
