Yesterday, we heard from community leaders and community members alike, all gathered for an update about the Interprofessional Primary Care Team (IPCT) Expansion. This funding is aimed at creating more capacity in our primary health care services, including francophone services, so that more people can have access to primary health care.

Yesterday, our ED Danae represented EKNPLC at the IPCT (Interprofessional Primary Care Team) Expansion phase 2 announcement. It is great to be part of an effort to increase much needed access to primary health care in our communities.
Thanks to Black Creek CHC for taking the lead and for including our clinic in the conversations, and MPP Tom Rakocevic for his supportive words!

Did you know there's an estimated 4.2 million caregivers in Ontario? An incredible 72% feel they can't maintain their own healthy behaviours and 69% feel so burnt out they are not sure how they will continue.

Unfortunately, there's no miracle solution that can fix this right away. In the meantime, the Ontario Caregiver Organization might have resources and supports that meet some of your needs. Or contact EKNPLC to see if our social worker's counselling and/or system navigation services can help you!
