Mama’s Voice: Women’s Voices from the War in Ukraine
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gsk0h5iyqq8
We cordially invite you to an award-winning documentary screening followed by Q&A and music.
Mama’s Voice is an intimate documentary about motherhood, displacement, and the extraordinary bond between two mothers -Ukrainian and Polish- brought together by war. Told through the eyes of a refugee, the film amplifies the voices of displaced Ukrainian women and children, reminding us that even in the darkest times, love and kindness continue to speak.
Mama’s Voice premiered at the LA Femme International Film Festival in October 2025, where it received an Honourable Mention Award. In August 2026, it won First Place in the International Competition – Television & Documentary category at the Avanca Film Festival in Portugal. The film has enjoyed a successful festival run, with screenings at leading academic institutions across North America and the European Parliament.
