We had the pleasure of welcoming the leadership team from Kensington Gardens for a tour of our home. It was an inspiring morning filled with meaningful conversation, shared ideas, and a mutual passion for delivering the highest quality of care to our seniors. 🤝

When we come together, share knowledge, and learn from one another, it is our residents who benefit most. 🙏

We look forward to continuing this conversation and building a strong partnership with the Kensington Gardens team! 💙

Today, we had a truly historic and deeply meaningful morning at Copernicus Lodge 🇵🇱✨

We had the incredible honour of welcoming Minister L**h Parell, Head of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, along with a special Polish delegation and Vice-Consul of the Republic of Poland in Toronto, Rafał Pawlak, to our home. 🙏

Our CEO Aleksandra Grzeszczuk, alongside our team, had the privilege of sharing the story of Copernicus Lodge, our mission, our residents, and the vital role we play in preserving Polish culture, language, and heritage right here in Toronto. 💛🇵🇱

We are incredibly honoured to share that Copernicus Lodge was awarded the Medal Pro Bono Poloniae, presented by Minister L**h Parell, in recognition of our contributions to fostering patriotic values and our dedication to the Polish community. This medal means the world to us and belongs to every resident, volunteer, staff member, and supporter who makes Copernicus Lodge what it is today. 🎖️✨

One of the most moving moments of the visit was hearing the personal stories of our Siberian survivors, whose resilience and courage continue to inspire us every single day. We are so grateful for this visit and for the continued connection between Poland and the Polish-Canadian community. 💙

Dziękujemy! 🌟

🌟💙 So proud of our incredible team!

Our Director of Quality and Clinical Education, Tenzin Thonsur, and Monika Tadra, ADRC, had the honour of representing Copernicus Lodge at the BPSO Symposium, presenting their work through the poster presentation “Changing How We Care: A BPSO Journey in PFCC, Communication & Goals of Care Conversations.” 👏

Being midway through our BPSO journey, this was a wonderful opportunity to share, connect, and learn from others who are on the same path toward evidence based, person and family centred care. 💛

A special thank you to our BPSO Coach Hannah Cruz for her continued guidance, encouragement, and support, and to the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) for bringing this incredible community together! 🙏

We are so proud of the work our team is doing every single day to raise the bar in long term care. This is what being the home of choice looks like! 🏡✨
