Rarely ever do I speak about something like this.

I've received news of the passing of my a high school biology teacher, Mr. Peter Onlock. The passing was sudden (not due to Co-VID 19).

I cannot begin to express my gratitude for this man, as he ignited my passion in cell and molecular biology when I was only 17 years old. I remember it so clearly how I came to realize how much I love this type of study. Mr. Onlock turned something to boring to life with his chalk-and-talk and his personality. Every class I would make notes and learn the material with so much ease. He taught me material that was redundant even into my 3rd year of specialist undergraduate studies. Every thing that I learned from him I am using every day in my practice: to understand how the body heals and how it responds to the environment. And I absolutely love it.

So what now? I love it even more. I will carry on this passion in memory of him. I will learn so much more and love biology so much more.

Thank you, Mr. Onlock. The skies have gained a solid champion.

Just a couple more reps of thumper, little guy!

Happy Halloween!

One thing I've learned about being a chiro, a patient and a mother is - trust the process. It may seem like such little change, but you WILL get where you need to go if you keep making the changes (ie. Rehab, treatment compliance, wellness mentality).

Dr. Amy is back!

She was so happy to spend 3 full months with this little guy! She missed her patients very much and is very grateful for having Dr. Belchos step in to care for her patients.

She can't wait to see you all again, so book in when you can! If you're lucky, you might be able to meet Austin!

Dr. Amy is delighted to introduce to you Austin Chan! He was born August 21st and is currently 5 weeks old!

Dr. Amy is very grateful for the care of and the nurses at . It is because of their excellent efforts and the support of Dr. Amy's friends and family that she is pleased to announce that she will be returning to practice at the Scarborough location! 💃

She will be seeing all patients, old and new at the beginning of December! In the meantime, please feel free to take advantage of the excellent care brought to you by .mbelchos who is actively treating at Dr. Amy's Scarborough location. 🙏

Please join us in welcoming guest chiropractor, Dr. Belchos! We are very lucky to have Dr. Belchos join us a couple days in the week. She will be helping Dr. Amy's Scarborough location patients while Dr. Amy is on her 4-month maternity leave (starting August). Dr. Amy and Dr. Belchos have known each other for 4 years, graduated from the same training college (Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College) and share the same philosophies in health care. It is a privilege to ultilize Dr. Belchos' knowledge in managing our patients as she continues to pursue an academic fellowship in Sports Sciences. Interestingly, Dr. Amy and Dr. Belchos love to sing but are both a little shy! Feel free to take advantage of this opportunity to experience Dr. Belchos' knowledgeable and compassionate care until the end of November.

For those wondering why I've been quiet lately, here's an update:

It is with great delight that we share the news – Dr. Amy and Jack are having their first baby in late August 2019. She is happily still practising and taking in patients until August, where she will then take 4 months maternity. She will return to practice in late November, all being well. We will be welcoming a colleague she has known for many years who brings to the table the same skill and compassionate care as Dr. Amy. Dr. Amy will be available to help her colleague manage the treatment plans as to give the patients the best care. We will provide more updates as it comes!

My pregnancy has been smooth sailing. I owe a lot of this blissful journey to being proactive and my healthcare team:
