Ancaster - 4-Week Sportball for Autistic Children 8-15

Location: Ryerson United Church, 265 Wilson St E, Ancaster, ON L9G 2B8
Dates: Thursdays, November 5 -November 26, 2026
Time: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Children ages 8-15 can sign up for our 4-week Sportball Program in Ancaster. Each session will explore a different sport using skill development and gaming experience. Equipment: Wear clean indoor shoes, gym clothes or basketball shorts. Bring water bottle for breaks. Note: Caregivers must remain on site.

We are 3 days away from the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Walk with QSM!

Join Qaiser Saghir Mayo (QSM) on Thanksgiving Day as he starts his walk from Toronto to Burlington.

Qaiser and friends will begin their walk on Monday morning at Toronto City Hall at 6:45 AM. Their journey will take approximately 60 kilometers and is estimated to arrive at 6:00PM at the City of Burlington Town Hall located at 426 Brant Street.

Where Does Rain Go?

Where does rain go once it reaches the ground? Explore how stormwater moves through our communities and discover the impacts of stormwater pollution, flooding, and erosion—especially in a changing climate.

Learn how you can take action to protect drinking water, wildlife habitat, and our environment.

Cost: $3.00 per person. No refunds. Maximum 5 tickets per family.

This event will run rain or shine. You will be notified if the event needs to be cancelled due to extreme weather.

Join us for four weeks of hands-on technology fun! Using a variety of digital tools and technologies such as Micro:bits and Lego Spike Prime, participants will design interactive projects, build problem-solving skills, and discover new ways to create with technology. Participants will also receive their own Micro:bit to keep and continue exploring at home.

This program is intended for autistic youth ages 9-15. *No prior coding experience is needed - just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
