Angele is our talented massage therapist with over 22 years of experience treating complex neurological conditions. She is a graduate of the Sutherland-Chan school of massage therapy and the McMaster University physical education program. She has been with Balance Physiotherapy since 2009. Angele is our go-to for all things pop culture, food, travel and sports!

We want to share this great resource from the OBIA (Ontario Brain Injury Association).

The Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) continues to offer both Concussion Support Groups and Caregiver Support Groups through our Online Connection and Inclusion Support Group Program, from the comfort of your own home. Groups will be run throughout the year in eight-week sessions. During these sessions, groups progress through various topics to support mental well-being and resilience.

The Online Concussion Support Group welcomes you to a safe place where you can share your struggles and connect with others.

🤩 Meet our Team 🤩

Melisa has been with Balance Physiotherapy since 2006. She has experience in complex orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation in both hospital and private practice settings. She specializes in vestibular therapy, having completed her training at Emory University as well as additional advanced training in concussion management. Melisa combines her wealth of knowledge to advocate for the best care for each and every one of her patients. Melisa is passionate about education - both continued learning as well as teaching and mentoring fellow physiotherapists and students. When not in clinic, she can be found walking her dog 🐕 or spending time with her family!

👋 Meet our Clinic Directors 👋

Silvia Guido

Silvia has been with Balance Physiotherapy for 13 years and has taken on the role of co-owner/clinic director with Tracy since October 2022. She is a graduate of the McMaster physiotherapy program and is a fully certified McKenzie therapist. She highly values further education and applies her wide skill set to all of her patients to help them achieve their goals. Her additional training includes contemporary medical acupuncture, manual therapy, and neurodynamic training using Butler and Bobath techniques. Outside of the clinic, she can be found enjoying some good gelato 🍨 and chasing after her 3 year-old son.

Tracy Tan

Tracy has been with Balance Physiotherapy for 10 years and stepped into the role of co-owner/clinic director with Silvia in October 2022. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto physical therapy program and has completed several complementary post-graduate courses in contemporary medical acupuncture, manual therapy, Stott pilates, NDT and the Bobath Concept. Tracy is passionate about neurological rehabilitation and helping her clients achieve their goals! Outside of the clinic, she can be found hanging out with her 2 year-old son or on the golf course or volleyball court trying to balance her love of good food with some physical activity 😉
