When April did her first consult call years ago, she referred to rhinoplasty as "rhinos" because she thought that was the lingo. We still ride her a bit for it to this day. 😂

But today alone April and I saw patients from Maine, France, Quebec, Turkey, Ontario, Indonesia, Alberta and Iran.

I think it's safe to say that it doesn't matter what lingo she uses anymore because she has become an expert in the language of facial plastic surgery. 🌎

We want to give you a heads start for your face

The first 24 hours after facial surgery are the most demanding part of recovery. It's when the risk of complications is highest, when swelling is peaking, and when you're far too exhausted to be caring for yourself — let alone managing incisions, staying on top of medications, or knowing what's normal at 3 a.m.
Love is not the same as nursing care. The people closest to you are often the ones least equipped for the hands-on work those first hours demand. That's not a knock on them — it's just not their training.
So we asked ourselves how we could truly improve recovery, in the hours that matter most. Our answer: extending our in-house nursing care so that select patients who need it can spend that critical first window under our nursing team's close watch and Dr. Roskies' oversight — with their own caregiver right there beside them.
It takes the worry out of the first 24 hours and puts it in trained hands.

Meet the beautiful Valerie. She is 64 and followed me for a long time on social media before deciding the time was right for her. I love all parts of this video, especially when she refers to her neck as The Majestic 😂. We're just beginning to approach the cosmetic recovery phase. Not yet fully healed, but it's clear that something internal has shifted in her. To the people in the back, this isn't about vanity- it's about reclaiming yourself. I'm just so happy for her.

if you want to avoid accidents altogether, as they say, just don't get in your car at all. for me, dealing with hard issues means understanding that they exist, taking measures to avoid them, but also still recognizing that despite our best intentions, fender benders still happen. The question is, what happens next?
