Why does my Botox wear off faster than my friends?

If you feel like your Botox disappears way sooner than your friend’s, you’re not imagining it. There are several reasons this can happen.

💉 *Dose matters.* The amount used and where it’s placed can affect how long your result lasts. ⚠️ However - sometimes your particular muscle cannot take any more Botox without becoming too weak and heavy (for instance forehead muscle) - if that's the case you have no choice but to accept that it won't last as long and you may need to do it more frequently.

💪 *Your muscle strength matters.* Strong, highly active muscles may regain movement sooner. Often this can be compensated for by a higher dose.

🏃‍♀️ *Your lifestyle can play a role.* Exercise, metabolism and other individual factors may influence how quickly your results fade... If you are a gym bunny, regularly use saunas or hot yoga - you Botox won't last as long...
But this is not a reason to stop doing all those great things - they will help you more than Botox :)

🧬 *Your biology matters.* Some people simply metabolize neuromodulators faster than others. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I wish we knew the secret gene that makes some people's Botox last 6 months..

🙂 And sometimes... Botox may not be the right answer and that is why it's not working! Speak to your provider about other treatment options!

Hot summer days can lead to tiny bumps and rough texture!

Here are mg two favorite cures:

🧪 **Glycolic Acid**
It exfoliates away dead skin cells that get trapped inside pores, helping smooth texture and reveal brighter skin.

🌿 **2 Azelaic Acid** (especially prescription strength)
It helps clear congested pores while reducing redness, inflammation, and post-acne marks, making it perfect for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

The goal isn't to scrub your skin smoother but it's to **decongest the pores** so your skin can function the way it's supposed to.

✨ Hygiene is equally important. If your sunsceens or makeup are comedogenic it will contribute to congestion and if you pillowcase os dirty it can lead to fungal acne which looks very similar (but is treated differently)
