So, think about this for a second. It's obviously bats**t crazy. It's obviously racist. It's obviously hilarious. But we overlook, this rhetoric is also, literally, from the N**i playbook. Not to evoke Hi**er willy-nilly, but here, we should be talking about Hi**er. Because this kind of super-racist, "how can this be true" rhetoric, IS N**i propaganda strategy. And people BELIEVE IT!!!!...

Hi again! Here's Part 3 of this mini-series on my recent "personal awakening". Here we discuss how the motivation to be healthy and well is innate. There's no need to try & motivate yourself. All that's required is to accept yourself, at the core. Cheers

I do, sincerely and excitedly, want to share my story of healing in detail. It’s going to take some time to fully put it together. But I plan to get it out in the world before my birthday. (May 1…

It is important to recognize (as I obliquely alluded to in the previous post, #137), that when you are “working on self-improvement” in whatever way you are, even “failure” isn’t failure. I truly …

Hi! Here's Exercise #2 of our 3-step plan to healing, based on "Fast Acceptance and Commitment Therapy". I hope you find this helpful. And thanks for reading!

from We’ve talked about the self-defeating nature of our S**t Avoidance Strategies, especially over the long term. Not that they’re totally, 100% bad; they can even be life-savers! But long-term,…

I’ll never forget the first time I looked at the moon through a telescope. I was in my early 30s, and after having looked at the moon regularly for three decades, it was like I was seeing it for the first time. The vague spots my eyes could see on their own were now cliffs and craters and rocks and ridges, and I could so clearly imagine myself up there on a dirt bike, having the time of my life. ...

This may strike you as inflammatory, ridiculous, maybe even offensive, but I have been saying this for many years -- climate change presents us with not one Holocaust, in terms of human deaths, but 1000 Holocausts.

Unless we either slow it down drastically, invent some genius s**t to "adapt" to living on effectively a different planet, or......pray really, really hard for Divine Intervention.

So yes, in terms of "impact on humanity", Trump is definitely worse than Hi**er. Chomsky is bang-on. As usual.

The main reason that society-at-large doesn't realize this yet, is because the vast majority of people have very little understanding of the interlinked relationships between the world's major systems, which ultimately control the life-support system we call the Biosphere. Plus, they have very little understanding of the nonlinear way that these systems change, once they are pushed past their organizational "threshold points".

It's like a building that gets hits by a wrecking ball, over and over and over. At some point, it collapses.

We're basically bashing our life-supporting Biosphere, 24/7, with planet-sized wrecking balls. It's been stressed right up to the very limit, and in many cases past the limit, of all of its "threshold points".

Kinda puts the US election in a different perspective, eh?

To Canadians, this is a pretty illuminating read! It's total deja vu for the politicking we've been experiencing for the past two decades. And still are experiencing.

Hopefully, Australia fixes its coal problem, and natural gas slightly-smaller-problem-but-still-a-problem. And up here in the Great White North (beauty, eh?) the Feds stop buying pipelines, Alberta stops doubling down on a dying energy sector, and, oh God about a million other things (like, take off, eh?).

Anyway, it's a good read!

The bushfire royal commission report shows that the time has come for the Prime Minister Scott Morrison to address global warming.

I plan to share information through this page that is predominantly action-oriented. You know, stuff we can do to make a difference.

Two posts ago, it was a straightforward action that could be taken to improve Canadian democracy.
One post ago, it was a learning action that could be taken to improve one's understanding of the world we live in.
This one's not so much an action....sorry 'bout that; I just felt it was important to explain myself here.... :)

Every Canadian deserves a greater voice in our democracy. Electoral reform is absolutely necessary as a first step to achieving this. Trudeau promised this when he first ran for PM. And he failed to uphold that promise.

NOW, with a minority government in which the NDP hold the balance of power, we can finally make this happen, and make YOUR vote count in the future.

Please sign this.

Moments like this are tremendously rare, game-changing opportunities. For the millions of Canadians who were disappointed and betrayed by the Liberals’ broken promise on electoral reform - it’s a moment we can’t afford to waste! Jagmeet Singh and the federal NDP hold the balance of power. Will...
