You know EFT. So why does it still sometimes feel so hard to do EFT?
You understand the model.
You’ve learned the theory.
You know the tasks and interventions.
And yet, in the room, you sometimes find yourself:
• Worrying about whether you’re “doing EFT correctly”
• Second-guessing yourself in after sessions
• Becoming anxious when a client’s emotions intensify
• Moving too quickly to soothe or regulate
• Losing your empathic flow
• Focusing on getting to resolution rather than trusting the process
If this sounds familiar, the next step in your EFT development may not be learning more EFT.
It may be exploring what happens inside you as the therapist.
Unfolding Therapist Blocks is a 10-week experiential small-group training designed specifically for EFT therapists who want to identify and work with the emotional obstacles that may be getting in the way of greater confidence and fluidity in their practice.
Led by Dr. Robert Elliott and Dr. Sarah Thompson, participants will use principles and methods from Emotion-Focused Therapy and Emotion-Focused Group Therapy to explore their own therapist blocks, deepen their capacity to remain present with intense emotion, and develop individualized next steps for continued growth.
