To foster self-compassion, practice self-care, challenge negative self-talk, and surround yourself with supportive people.

Learning to sit with our feelings is like giving ourselves a mental hug. It's acknowledging that it's okay to feel what we feel, without judgment. It's a brave act of self!

As a therapist, one thing I tell my client is sitting with your feelings is not to prolong discomfort but about understanding its purpose. Emotions are like waves - they rise, crest, and recede. By allowing them space, we can observe their ebb and flow without being swept away. It's in this awareness that healing and growth begin.
