Testosterone in women is sorely underrated and under appreciated.
How many times has your doctor measured your testosterone in your entire life?
I can guess the answer.
When your testosterone is low it compromises many healthy bodily functions and quality of life.
It will deplete you of s*x drive, healthy aging, motivation, energy, optimal cognition, stress resilience, exercise tolerance, muscle building, ability to lose weight, metabolism, bone density, vitality and a normal mood.
Stress drains your reserves of the building blocks to make testosterone.
If you have or are suffering from chronic stress, your levels are likely suboptimal or low.
If any of these apply, request that your doctor checks your testosterone and DHEA-S in your next bloodwork.
Be cautious with interpreting the results, as a very low number or zero is considered “normal” according to normal lab ranges.
Note: Zero is not normal.
Naturopaths can also requisition blood tests for hormones, or a more detailed DUTCH urine hormone panel.
