The largest evaluation of AI scribes in primary care worldwide confirms they deliver meaningful benefits for Canadian clinicians.

This independent study, conducted by CDHE at the Women's College Hospital Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV), highlights our leadership in shaping the future of digital health.

Real impact in healthcare starts with giving clinicians the time and tools they need to focus on care. The latest results from our AI Scribe Program show what’s possible at scale.

The program registered more than 11,000 primary care clinicians across Canada, making it the largest national implementation and evaluation of AI scribes in primary care worldwide.

Nearly 70% of participating clinicians reported a reduction in administrative burden, freeing up more time for patient care.

By helping streamline workflows and reduce cognitive load, AI scribes are empowering clinicians to focus on delivering care—not paperwork.

As we look ahead, these results reinforce the value of scaling solutions that support clinicians and enable more connected, patient-centred care.

🏆 2026 Honouring Health Leadership Event 🏆 Excellence in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility (IDEA) Award 🏆

-----------------------

The Canadian College of Health Leaders is proud to announce that Women's College Hospital (WCH) has been named as the recipient of the 2026 Excellence in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility (IDEA) Award. > https://bit.ly/womens-college-hospital-excellence-in-inclusion-diversity-equity-accessibility-award

For more than a century, WCH has challenged exclusionary systems and expanded access for equity-deserving communities, and today that legacy is reflected in a disciplined, organization-wide approach where IDEA is woven into governance, strategy, and accountability. WCH’s leadership in IDEA is equally evident in its workforce and community partnerships. This strategic foundation supports equitable clinical models that reduce barriers and improve patient experience, including the Ganawishkadawe Centre for Wise Practices in Indigenous Health, the Crossroads Clinic serving thousands of refugee patients annually, and Canada’s first publicly funded Transition Related Surgery Program.

The award is sponsored by Sodexo Canada.

🏥✨ Then-and-now: celebrating 10 years of our new building!

This year marks a decade since we opened our redeveloped home at 76 Grenville Street. While our space has transformed, pieces of our history remain woven throughout the building – from preserved architectural features to reminders of the generations who helped shape WCH.
