In Chinese Medicine, your period shouldn’t ruin your week. Cramps, mood swings, breast tenderness, irritability, they’re common, but in TCM they’re a sign that something isn’t flowing the way it should, and isn’t actually considered normal.
These three points are the ones I press on myself and use most often with patients:
📍 SP6 — the most famous gynecological point in TCM. crosses spleen, liver, and kidney meridians. Great for PMS, irregular cycles, and pre-period sleep issues.
📍 LV3 — moves stuck Liver Qi, which is behind almost every “rage-y” PMS symptom. Great for irritability, breast tenderness, and tension.
📍 REN 4 — the root point for the uterus. It tonifies kidney qi, builds blood, and warms a cold womb. SO good for irregular or light periods, achy cramps that feel better with heat, and low energy around your cycle.
Avoid SP6 if you’re pregnant besties. Let’s be safe.
