50 KM for a cause—we’re doing it again this year! 🚴‍♀️🐾

Dr. Chi, Dr. Ma, and her daughter are hitting the road for the annual Farley Ride, and we’re aiming to raise $1,000!

The Farley Foundation assists low-income pet owners in Ontario with necessary medical and emergency vet care, ensuring financial hardship doesn’t stand between a family and their beloved pet.

Juliet here to remind everyone to stay safe and hydrated during tomorrow’s festivities 😎 While we love the summer sun, the heat can be tough on our furry friends.

Here are a few quick tips to keep your pets safe and cool:

• Watch the pavement: If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. Stick to the grass or shady paths🌱

• Plan walks for the early morning or late evening when temperatures drop and the sun isn’t at its peak🕶️

• Bring fresh water and a collapsible bowl on long walks, and make sure indoor pets have water available🧊

• Never leave pets in cars: Even with the windows cracked, temperatures inside a parked vehicle can reach dangerous levels in minutes.

Stay cool, and have a wonderful Canada Day! 🇨🇦

It may be cold, but the ticks are still being bold! 🕷️🌡️

Ticks are still active, even in 0° and yes, even in the city! 🏙️

We have seen two dogs with ticks in the last few weeks -- right downtown where we don't have tall grass everywhere! 😨

Think about how many days we have during the fall/winter where it is 0°+. 🤔 Those are the days where we are more likely to be out with our furry friends too, which is why it is important to ensure that they are on parasite prevention even in the cold months. 💊

Ask your vet for more information for which parasite prevention is the best for your lifestyle!
