What made JAPAN so special was not only the places we visited …it was experiencing a culture where so many traditions around food, movement and daily living have been passed down through generations!
We enjoyed the beautiful fresh ingredients such as fish, vegetables, tofu, seaweed, rice as well as waygu beef and seafood. Matcha was to be found everywhere and delicious fermented foods🍵🍵🍵🍵
There was also something inspiring about their lifestyle: walking everywhere, appreciating nature, taking time for tea, respecting seasonality, and finding beauty in a calm and peaceful environment. Their clean and organized fashion on the roads as well as the pristine washrooms were beyond admirable.
From the energy of Tokyo, to the peaceful nature of Kawaguchiko, to the traditions of Kyoto, I came home with more than wonderful memories which I will share in my next newsletter 📰
I came home inspired by a different way of thinking about food, wellness and longevity…. one that reminds us that healthy aging isn’t about one perfect food or habit. It’s the small things we do consistently and the way we live each day.
Travelling with special friends was the icing on the cake 🎂
A trip of a lifetime and so many lessons I’ll carry with me. ❤️🇯🇵 So Grateful
