It's more like remembering how to walk barefoot in the dark, toward a sound you almost recognize. I sit at the intersection of endings and beginnings, with the women who've carried too much, too far, for too long. Women who know

something is stirring, not because it's trendy, but because the cost of staying the same has become unbearable. What I offer isn't a fix. It's a field. A psychic, spiritual, somatic field. It opens. You step in. Together, we find what's already speaking, underneath the noise, underneath the performance of healing. There's no prescription here. Only permission. To feel it all. To speak what's been unspeakable. To name the unnamed. To call the soul back from exile. The work is rigorous. Sometimes ceremonial. Sometimes clinical. Always holy. It's not for everyone. But if you've been standing at a threshold with your hand on the door for years… you're the one I'm speaking to.

For years, I thought I was waiting for this and then that.
It turns out I was waiting for something else.

The Bargain I Kept Trying to Make with Life is now live at Substack.

It is about expectation, disappointment, hope, and the quiet agreements many of us make with life without ever realizing we've made them.

The ones that only become visible when they stop working.

I spent a good part of my life making a bargain with life.
I suspect many of us do.
We believe that if we're good enough, wise enough, kind enough, patient enough, life will eventually meet us halfway.
Lately I've been wondering about that.
A new Substack essay arrives on Sunday.

I keep thinking about something while people respond to my recent article.
How many elders are sitting in rooms full of stories nobody is asking for anymore?

Some of these women have survived things that would flatten most of us.

War. Loss. Reinvention.
Starting over with no safety net.
Raising children while carrying private grief, nobody had time to help them with.

And still they create beauty.
Still, they make meaning.
And tired to the core, they begin again.

The article is called "The Threshold After Letting Go".
It centres around my friend Irma, her painting process, and the deeper question underneath "letting go."

If you missed it earlier this week, I think it is worth sitting with.

I am working on building a little community there, and I would so love it if you consider resharing this post and, of course, subscribing!

This feels very close to the bone, and it's just gone live.
It began with a painting called Letting Go and a conversation with my 83-year-old friend Irma, who is still creating, still transforming, still listening inwardly, and still standing at new thresholds in her life.

The piece became a reflection on what happens when women age in a culture that mistakes elderhood for irrelevance.

I think many people will recognize themselves in it.
Especially those quietly feeling that their current life no longer fits in the same way it once did.

The Threshold After Letting Go is now live on Substack.

A few days ago, an 83-year-old artist friend of mine asked me a question that stopped me cold.
"Why can't I ever settle?"

What followed became one of the most important conversations I have had in a long time about aging, creativity, reinvention, intuition, elderhood, and the strange way our culture slowly erases older women while still very much needing the wisdom they carry.

The article is called:
The Threshold After Letting Go
It arrives soon.

Many people have quietly messaged me after reading this essay.
It made them feel recognized. Full Stop.

I feel that many people are reaching the edge of what the nervous system can absorb while still pretending everything is normal.

The old distractions are weakening.
The old stories are fraying.
And underneath all of it, people are being forced into a harder conversation with themselves.

This piece is for those standing inside that threshold.

If you missed it earlier this week, you can read it here:

And if one of the reflection questions reaches into something gritty and true for you, leave your response beneath the article.
I may answer you directly from Source Intelligence.

Today, this piece went live.
"We Are Not Meant to Adapt to This Much Unreality."
I wrote it for the people quietly carrying too much while pretending they are managing.

For the ones whose nervous systems no longer believe the performance.
For the people who can feel the ground shifting beneath modern life and cannot talk themselves out of that knowing anymore.

This is not motivation or spiritual entertainment.
It is an attempt to speak honestly about what these times are doing to people psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, and biologically.

And why so many are exhausted in ways sleep cannot repair.

There is also a channelled message within this piece, titled Dispatches From the Threshold.

Three questions came through.
Three responses followed from Source Intelligence.

If one of those questions stirs something in you, leave your answer in the comments beneath the article.
I will choose some responses and answer them personally through Source Intelligence.
