On April 29, I had the privilege of attending a special event at the Senate of Canada 🇨🇦

I was honored to speak at a roundtable discussion, where I addressed the challenges and the urgent need to support internationally trained physicians particularly Afghan doctors.

During my remarks, I emphasized the need to improve the integration and licensing process for International Medical Graduates (IMGs), with a particular focus on expanding residency positions, creating clearer pathways, and reducing unnecessary barriers in the system.

Fair access to residency and professional opportunities is not only an individual concern, but a critical step toward strengthening Canada’s healthcare system.

I am grateful for the opportunity to engage with representatives of the Canadian government and the Senate, and I hope these conversations lead to meaningful and tangible action.

در ۲۹ اپریل، افتخار حضور در یک گردهمایی ویژه در مجلس سنای کانادا را داشتم 🇨🇦

در این رویداد، به‌عنوان سخنران در یک میزگرد، درباره چالش‌ها و ضرورت حمایت از پزشکان خارجی به‌ویژه پزشکان افغانستان صحبت کردم.

در سخنانم، پیشنهاد کردم که روند پذیرش و ادغام پزشکان بین‌المللی (IMGs) بازنگری شود، به‌ویژه با تمرکز بر افزایش ظرفیت برنامه‌های رزیدنتی (Residency)، ایجاد مسیرهای شفاف‌تر، و کاهش موانع غیرضروری در این مسیر.

دسترسی عادلانه به فرصت‌های رزیدنتی و حرفه‌ای برای این پزشکان، نه‌تنها یک موضوع فردی، بلکه گامی مهم در جهت تقویت نظام سلامت کانادا است.

از فرصت گفت‌وگو با نمایندگان دولت کانادا و مجلس سنا سپاسگزارم و امیدوارم این بحث‌ها به اقدامات عملی و ملموس منجر شود.
