As you can tell, today the air quality is very very bad and toxic. Expect asthma flare-ups.

If your child starts coughing, start using their inhaler with the aerochamber and bring them to our walk in clinic to make sure they are OK.

Stay indoors today if you can.

As we are still in the viral season, if your child has a fever, please use only plain Acetaminophen or if older than 6 months of age plain Ibuprofen.

We don't recommend any medications mixed with cough and cold. We also don't recommend any cough and cold medications even if they are "naturopathic".

If your child has a fever, bring them so we can assess them and make sure they are still ok.

We are seeing a loooooot of stomach flu's. Like with any virus, make sure your child is hydrated and voiding well. Don't worry about food. Hydration Hydration Hydration.

Bring your child to see us so we make sure your child is well hydrated, especially if there is vomiting.

A reminder with the windchill like today, you can lose your appendages very easily. Keep your nose, ears, fingers and toes protected and warm. Stay indoors and warm. Sunny days in winter are very deceiving. Looks warm but totally opposite.

As we are still in the virus season, we are seeing a decline in Influenza A but an increase in COVID.

Viruses behave the same. Ensure proper hydration, give them Acetaminophen and/or Ibuprofen (older than 6 months age) and bring them to us for a quick check up to make sure they are OK.

This year, we are seeing a looooot of Flu and other viruses. People fear illness. 99% of kids and adults will be fine other than going through annoying symptoms. Unfortunately, a small percent of people succumb to those viruses which is an act of nature. As such, we shouldn't panic from illness.

Treatment is supportive. Come see us so we can make sure your child is clinically well, and ensure adequate hydration of your child by giving them cold water or Pedialyte slushies.
