What to do when someone else’s rejection has become your own rejection of yourself;

So someone rejected you… don’t make the mistake of rejecting yourself too.
That’s how heartbreak becomes self-destruction.
Someone walks away, and suddenly you start:
👉 questioning your worth
👉 replaying everything you did wrong
👉 abandoning your needs
👉 isolating yourself, or
👉 desperately trying to prove you’re lovable.
But here’s the truth:
Their rejection is theirs.
What you DO with it is yours.
Accountability means noticing when someone else’s rejection has become your own rejection of yourself—and knowing how to interrupt that pattern.
❌ Because not everyone will understand you.
❌ Not everyone will choose you.
❌ Not everyone will be capable of loving you well.
That doesn't make you unworthy of love.
Don’t let someone else’s decision become your identity.
