Ever wonder why pupil dilation drops are used during eye exams? The drops allow for a more thorough eye health examination by giving the optometrist a larger "window" to see into the eyes. Cataracts, retinal detachments, and macula degeneration are some of the many conditions that are more easily detected when dilation drops are used.

Even though the drops may cause temporary light sensitivity and blurry vision, they are very helpful when you have your eyes checked. Bringing a pair of sunglasses or having someone else drive to the appointment is a good way to prepare for your next eye exam.

Feel the difference that a warm eye compress can make! It helps prevent styes, soreness, and dry eye symptoms.

The Blepha Eyebag is made with natural materials and is biodegradable with recycable packaging. It contains linseed fill with a silk and cotton surface. To use, just heat it in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds and gently shake it to evenly distribute the heat. Then, apply the eye compress on closed eyes for 5 minutes. This is a great chance to relax, and give your eyes a much needed break from screen time, too!

The cotton side is cooler, and the silk side is warmer, and it can be used according to heat preference. It is decontaminated with each use of the microwave. The eye compress is reusable up to 200 times, or for about 6 months if used daily.
