Sleep or lack there of when you have a newborn is a topic of concern for the parents that we support. As most new parents recognize, sleep deprivation is part of life with a newborn. Along with understanding a newborns sleep cycle and creating safe sleeping arrangements there are many ways for parents to survive those early days.

😴Nourish and hydrate yourself with healthy foods and drinks. We have lots of great ideas if you need them including recipes for energy balls, teas, oatmeal cups etc.

😴Accept help and don’t hesitate to ask for it. Allowing others to help out with laundry, cooking, holding the baby etc. so you can take a nap, shower, walk is crucial.

😴Go for a walk. Physical activity whenever possible and being outdoors in sunlight can give you better energy during the day and promote better sleep at night for both you and baby.
