Nature is something we are always told to be "in tune" with, but what does that even mean to begin with? Sure, there is the superficial idea of getting outside and being within it, but at its core, what is the tune that vibrates with it? 🎶🌳🌺 Nature is a constant dance of complicated processes, working together to form a whole and cohesive thing in ways more complex than we can even imagine. It ebbs and flows like a tide, with every being and plant connected to the seasons, always changing, always coming back again to the same thing in a new form. The fish connects to the plankton for food, to the shark as its predator, to the kelp as what it hides and gives birth in, to the water that it breathes, to the bacteria on its skin, and each adjacent thing to the fish connects in its own way to a further infinite web 🕸 We have to be able to see our role in this web and flow as a part of it, to feel the tides and spirits awake within it, to be "connected" and "in tune." We all want to be *with* Nature, but it is harder to be a part of it. Being a part of it means acknowledging feast and famine, war and peace, flood and drought, barren and plenty, life and death, and being at one and peace with all these things, a lifetime effort and pursuit for any person. It's a worthy journey but not one as simple as people make it out to be. This doesn't mean don't undertake it, just that undertaking it will be a joy and a battle, as with all natural things ❤🖤
