This week I have shown mothers how to release hiked shoulders and painfully tight chest muscles, I have shown singers & speakers how to release tension from their neck, throat, and diaphragm so that their vocal cords function well through periods of fatigue and illness. I have also shown hairdressers, and musicians how to release immobile, numb, and tight fingers and hands.
Moving your own fascial tissue and coupling it with breath - yes, that is it - changes everything.
People come to me endlessly describing how they overwork their bodies and their nervous systems. They share about the overwhelming physical discomforts they cope with - built-up pains they have neglected or injuries they have not allowed to heal. They often continue to endure - which affects their mood, nervous system, ability to calm - because we pretend deteriorating bodies are "normal" with age or with routine family or work demands.
I show my clients how to listen differently to their bodies and respond in ways that instantly provide relief all the way to the root. They often completely resolve the issue. Yes, instantly.
My co-Coaches Mandy Inglis and Allan Guenther do the same work. Their clients routinely share how tension, pain, and even feelings of panic have entirely disappeared after a limited number of sessions, and, yes, even one session, or one movement. My clients have shared after our first session "this evening...my pace was not being driven by worry, anxiety, or stress. I gladly took my time to be more deliberate and focused. Sleep was much better and relaxed...I felt today my body was more peaceful and less tight ! Like a tight spring had relaxed...".
Allan Guenther is also joining us to share his pelvic and abdominal health expertise (women and men). His clients also boast global body changes after their sessions. "...had horrible pain in my hips shooting down my legs just standing to cook dinner, not anymore! After hiking would have horrible abdominal tension that affected sleep, not anymore! Had difficulty taking deep breaths and shoulder tension from the car wreck... fixed!"
This is the purpose of this upcoming Retreat. October 31 - November 5th Mandy Inglis and I are hosting an immersive Retreat which will gently but deeply show you how to change your patterns of response to your body in a way that fits into your life AND entirely improves your experience of your body.
We have a couple of spots left. If you have tried Fascial Maneuvers, register at the link in the comments. It will deepen your practice, your self-commitment, and eliminate patterns of neglect and endurance. You will focus to what you look forward to doing, rather than anticipating the continued un-ease that has brought you to your knees. If you have not yet tried Fascial Maneuvers, come and see me in person 6pm Tuesday October 6 (High Park), or on Zoom Oct. 8 at 11am (ET) or direct message me for a one-on-one chat. Here's to the elation that comes with acquiescence.
