Kaitlin De Brabandere, M. OMSc Osteopathic Manual Therapist, nature lover & big believer in the body’s ability to heal. Hello, and thanks for visiting.

I help people restore balance in their bodies so they can move with ease, live fully and do what they love the most. My interest in osteopathy began during a long recovery from chronic pain, where treatments helped me regain the ability to move freely and live fully. This inspired me to pursue study at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, which deepened my knowledge and passion for the work. Outsid

Posture is an expression.

It reflects patterns of compensation, influences breathing, and reveals how habits, injury, and stress shape the way we move and hold ourselves.

Sitting “straighter” or forcing a more rigid alignment rarely creates lasting change. Posture is not a position to fix, but a complex adaptive pattern that needs the right conditions for change.

In assessment, I look at how load is distributed through focal, local, and global compensatory patterns, and how the body organizes itself to maintain function.

In treatment, I aim to improve posture by creating the environment for change. I work on mobility and load transfer across the body as an integrated system, which can reduce compensatory strain so more efficient postural organization can emerge.

After treatment, patients often report feeling more grounded, balanced, and at ease within their usual postural tendencies.

Osteopathic treatment isn’t about forcing the body to change, it’s about paying attention to what it’s already communicating.

Through gentle, focused hands-on work, I pay attention to how tissues respond to touch, and how tone, tension, texture, asymmetry, and restricted motion reflect the ways the body has adapted to function over time.

Treatment becomes a process of tuning in and by listening to what the body is ready to release, support, or reorganize, it allows change to emerge in a way the body can integrate with ease.
