The Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario (RTSO) is excited to share an upcoming learning opportunity hosted by the Department of Respiratory Therapy at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids)!

📍 The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto

Neonatal and Pediatric Respiratory Essentials is a one-day respiratory care workshop designed for health professionals supporting infants and children.

The workshop will focus on building knowledge and practical skills in:

🔹 Non-invasive respiratory support — HFNC, CPAP and NIV
🔹 Initiating and titrating mechanical ventilation
🔹 Airway management and intubation
🔹 Respiratory guidelines, clinical cases and more!

👥 Who should attend?
This workshop is ideal for new and practicing Respiratory Therapists, educators and respiratory practice leaders, as well as nurses, nurse practitioners and paramedics caring for neonatal and pediatric patients.

📢 The RTSO Professional Development Fund is now open for 2026–2027!

RTSO members can apply for up to $1,000 to support eligible professional development activities completed between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027.

Eligible activities include:
✅ RT workshops, conferences, and courses
✅ RT-related college or university courses
✅ Certifications such as BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ultrasound-guided arterial line insertion

⏰ Applications are reviewed first come, first served, with priority given to first-time applicants. Funding is limited, so apply early!
