🏖️🍹 Beach Party Fun at Crown Ridge Retirement Home! 🍹🏖️

We brought a little sunshine and tropical fun to our retirement living community! Our residents enjoyed a fabulous beach-themed party filled with refreshing mocktails, laughter, music, and plenty of good times. 🌴☀️ Cheers to making memories, enjoying each other’s company, and celebrating summer in style! 💙🌊

Earlier this Summer, Crown Ridge Place residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the RCAF Museum, where they explored the aircraft and historical artifacts on display. One of our own veterans proudly led the way, sharing stories and explaining many of the exhibits. It was a meaningful and enjoyable experience, and everyone had a great time together. Reminiscing isn't just enjoyable—it can help stimulate memory, encourage social interaction, and foster a deeper sense of connection with one another. ✈ ❤

We’re saying goodbye to summer by looking back on The Riverine’s annual Summer Carnival. The residents had a blast playing carnival games like ring toss and co****le, getting their face painted, and eating yummy treats. 🎪

The first player to score five in a row scores 5 points! Westgate Lodge residents had a wonderful time playing Pokeno (a game that is a combination of the two games known as Poker and Keno). ♠️♥️♣️♦️

The residents had a blast sharing laughs, cheering each other on, and enjoying a bit of friendly competition. Socializing and playing games is a great way to keep minds sharp, lift moods, and prevent loneliness. 💞

Staff and residents at all of our Homes had a fantastic time celebrating the MLB All-Star Game by showing off their team spirit! ⚾

The baseball jerseys, T-shirts, laughter, and team pride made for a fun-filled day, and the residents loved seeing everyone dressed for the occasion. Thank you to everyone who participated and made Jersey Day such a great success! ❤️

This week we said goodbye to Gabrielle. ❤️

Gabrielle has been part of the Westgate Lodge family for the past few years, joining us through both work and placement. During that time, she made a difference to our residents and staff, and we are so proud of her as she takes the next step toward becoming a Registered Dietitian! 🎓🥗

Thank you, Gabrielle, for the time, care and kindness you shared with us. We wish you so much success in this next chapter!

Creativity has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and our Crown Ridge Place residents enjoyed doing just that during a fun afternoon of art therapy. 🎨

Activities like art therapy encourage self-expression, stimulate the mind, spark conversation, and create meaningful moments of joy. 🪼 It's all part of the caring, engaging environment we're proud to provide, where every resident is encouraged to explore their creativity, connect with others, and enjoy each day to the fullest. 💙

Westgate Lodge residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon watching a movie, eating fresh popcorn and spending time with friends! 🍿 The timeless classic, The Royal Wedding (1947), brought back cherished memories, laughter and plenty of conversation. 📽

It’s amazing how a film made almost 80 years ago can bring generations together. What a wonderful day full of nostalgia and smiles. 🎬
