Sonia's Healing Place

Sonia's Healing Place I am a Healer, who beats her own drum. A survivor of abuse, and death itself. On this page, I hope you find what you need to help you on your healing journey.

Being born a Healer, the abuse hid that from me for many years. Today I help you. I am a Healer. I started awakening into my gift in 2009. Many Shamans and other Healers came into my life. Having many mentors guide the way is a blessing. My waking up process was guided by many other Healers, including Spirit. Learning that I was an intuitive empath explained many things. Learning we are all Divine

propelled me forward to help others do the same. Spirit has been a huge part of my life since I can remember, I just didn't know what it was. My deep sense of knowing even as a young child puzzled people, I remember hearing people say, “How did she know that?”

Not always easy my waking up process allowed me to receive spirits messages more clearly. In 2012 when I was ready, was when my biggest message or what I now call my download happened. The information came to me as a movie, showing what was expected of me and what I needed to learn and practice. Allowing my purpose to shine, was like allowing me to breathe. The world up to that day had told me to hold my breath and to be something I was not. In 2013 I invited a group of healers to my home, which initiated healing the Healers. A Healer must first heal their own wounds before being able to help family and the community. Like many I had many wounds to heal, each of these wounds allows me to be able to help others with theirs, a process not always easy but leads you to who you are. Shedding what no longer served over the years allowed me to develop my gift. My ability to restore balance to my community by contacting spirit guides and power animals came naturally. My purpose is to help others on their journey. You see when we are not connected to our divine self or true self this is where we become sick, getting back to who we are will heal most ailments. Don't worry, know that these ailments are only there to help you reconnect to your Divine true self. There are so many natural ways to heal, smudging really accelerated my own healing process and my desire to help others. In discovering smudging I also learned that there are many ways to move around this world in a more natural peaceful way, that is not on auto pilot! Over the years, I have learned how to heal my body inside and out, through diet, spiritual practices such as journeying. Know it is a process. Know that Love is the key to all healing, Community is key to healing, Unity is key to healing, Peace is key to healing, Light is key to healing, Nutrition is key to healing. Today I offer to help those who ask, specializing in healing ones soul. There are ways to heal by journeying to find your power animal, lost soul, and other messages from the animal world. Together we do healing sessions, grounding, breath work, being in the NOW, cutting cords, shielding and many other natural forms of being more present and healing. In time I will be doing workshops in my loft, but until that is fully set up they will be inside my home or I can come to you. Even if this space isn't ready yet, I have created something for you. Through my own struggle and a successful journey back to health, I realized that what I have learned in my own life must be shared with the rest of the world. Our energy field, together with our diet and lifestyle, choreographs our health and emotions. Here are some ways I can help. Services Provided:

Love how the universe works.

This morning, I was thinking, is there anything natural that I have that would help with this ragweed allergy?

It's a rainy day, and I am making salsa. Needing more small jars, I go around looking for any that have dry herbs that can be emptied because I have too much or don't use it.

A few jars get selected, shiso being one of them.

But before tossing it into my compost, I decided to research if it had any medicinal uses.

Oh, I got my answer.

The funny thing about this is that ragweed allergies have been bad this year for some reason, and guess what shiso is good for?

Yup, you guessed it.

Shiso (Perilla frutescens) is widely used as a medicinal herb.

Digestion: Practitioners use shiso to warm the stomach, ease nausea, and reduce bloating.

Allergies and Inflammation: Studies show that shiso extracts may help reduce histamine responses, easing symptoms of seasonal allergies, hay fever, and asthma.

Antimicrobial Effects: Traditional pairings with raw fish (like sashimi) leverage shiso's natural antiseptic properties to help prevent food poisoning.

Dried shiso contains rosmarinic acid, a natural antioxidant that helps block histamine and reduce allergy hay fever symptoms.

How to Consume Dried ShisoShiso Tea: Steep 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried red or green shiso flakes in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes to make a soothing, anti-inflammatory herbal infusion.

As a Rice Seasoning (Furikake): Sprinkle crushed dried shiso or Yukari over warm rice, congee, or noodles to get a daily dietary dose.

Salad and Soup Garnish: Crush the dried leaves into a fine powder and toss them into salad dressings, soups, or stir-fries just before eating.

Guess what I am about to have!? :)

Each year, I get a little more than the previous year, especially when you cover them because the birds love them also.

I dehydrated these to use them in an elderberry syrup during the cold winter months....

Walking out the door this morning with coffee, a leaf falls and lands by my feet.

Oh, I am starting to feel the shift.

The drive to get things done, can as much food as possible so we can slow down for winter, is fully on.

Yes, I said the word. :)

But I take this moment, smile at the leaf, and thank it for being here with us.

Enjoy your day.

My wish for you every day.

Don't worry if you aren't there yet.

Rome was not built in one day.

Let go of what no longer serves, especially baggage from our ancestors, no matter where you came from.

Wake up smile at the sun.

Attract, miracles.

Kind people.

Great energy.

And thousands of happy moments.

We buy as much local meat and produce as possible.

It's hard for some farmers to stay in business.

An organic farm I helped at years ago, stopped because it got too expensive to operate.

Recently, we talked to 3 different farmers who gave up farming. All 3 beef farmers. All 3 was because it got too expensive to operate. One farmer told us beef numbers are that of 1949, which means less beef to feed everyone.

If we support the local little guy, maybe we can make a difference and help them stay in business.

A week away, try something new.

In my life, I haven't really kayaked much.

During the week away, I decided to include kayaking and fishing.

It had its challenges.

Having to push myself a few times.

Pushing past the hard points.

Gaining confidence to go on.

Even having a few really good moments of being in the NOW and totally at peace on the water.

And also having a few moments of pushing past some points I wasn't sure I could do.

Although no fish ended up in the frying pan, I was able to land this big boy with a $20 kids fishing rod.

He was successfully released back into the water, as I thanked him, I watched him swim away.

Did you try anything new this summer?

What did you discover about yourself?

What did you have to let go of?

We have known this in shamanic work for a very long time, this is just the beginning of understand this.

Respect, all things.

Thank, all things.

All things are connected and have a consciousness.

Groundbreaking botanical research is challenging the long-held belief in human exceptionalism, suggesting that plants possess forms of spatial awareness, intentionality, and consciousness.

For centuries, humans have regarded plants as passive organisms, but pioneering studies are rewriting this view. According to plant neurobiologist Dr. Stefano Mancuso, plants display sophisticated behaviors that parallel those of conscious animals. In laboratory experiments, plants react to anesthesia in ways strikingly similar to humans and animals — for instance, the Venus flytrap becomes completely unresponsive when anesthetized.

Time-lapse studies further reveal remarkable intelligence in common bean plants, which demonstrate clear spatial awareness by precisely aiming shoots toward supports and even adjusting their growth strategy when they detect another plant has already claimed a support.

These findings indicate that consciousness may not be limited to organisms with brains, but could be a more flexible property emerging in diverse life forms. Trees migrate northward, mirroring animal migration, researchers argue that our understanding of “mind” must expand beyond traditional boundaries.

With over three trillion trees on Earth, acknowledging plant consciousness could transform our ethical frameworks, agricultural practices, and relationship with nature, shifting from viewing plants as mere resources to recognizing them as active, aware participants in our shared ecosystem.
