Tested out my SUV camping setup
which is new for me and I was mostly just hoping for the best 😅

But the point wasn’t to have it perfect. It was to make it easier to get out here.

Because this...being outside, fresh air, walking around, exploring, doing something different...this is a version of health and fitness we don’t talk about enough.

Not a workout. Not something you have to “get through”. Just
moving your body while you’re living your life.

I think we’ve made fitness feel like it only counts if it’s structured, planned, and done a certain way.

But some of the best movement happens when you’re not thinking about it like that at all.

You’re just outside, you’re just doing something, you’re just in it. And your body benefits from it anyway.

That’s what I want more of. Less forcing it. More living
where movement just comes with it!

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes
small, large, circle, square, stuffed crust 😌🍕

Honestly
this is your reminder that not everything needs to be so serious all the time.

You can care about your health and still enjoy your food. You can move your body and still live your life. It doesn’t, and shouldn't, be all or nothing.

Sometimes balance looks like a walk, some fresh food

and sometimes it looks like pizza and a laugh on a Friday night.

Both count. Both are part of real life.

And real life is kind of the whole point, isn't it?

I attempted my first ever mountain bike trail ride yesterday. I didn’t feel ready for this. Was not confident. Was not skilled. I just did it anyway.

Took breaks. Second guessed myself. Probably looked like I had no idea what I was doing
 because I didn’t 😅

But that’s kind of the point! We’ve somehow convinced ourselves that if we’re not good at something, we shouldn’t do it.

Or we wait until we feel more ready, more capable
 less awkward.

Meanwhile, real life is happening outside of that.

This....figuring it out as I go, taking breaks, getting a little better with each part...that’s the version that actually counts.

Not because it’s a “workout”, but because it’s an experience. Fresh air, a challenge, something new, a view at the top I wouldn’t have seen if I stayed comfortable.

You’re allowed to be bad at things.
You’re allowed to try anyway.

And sometimes
that’s where the best parts of life are. 😍

REFIRE HACK đŸ”„
The Sneak it in Method

I stopped waiting for a full workout and started sneaking movement into my day instead. Just little moments where I think, “might as well move a bit while I’m here”

Coffee brewing? Walk around or stretch
Dinner’s in the oven? Quick loop outside
About to shower? A few dumbbell sets
Scrolling anyway? Get up and do something instead

If trying to fit in a whole planned workout feels too heavy, this method adds up!

Most days don’t have this perfect, open hour where everything lines up. But they do have small pockets!

So I use those.

If you feel like you don’t have time try this for yourself. Don’t look for a workout. Just sneak in 5–10 minutes somewhere in your day.

That counts more than waiting for the right time, that we all know never shows up!

I don’t think most people lack motivation.

I think they’ve just turned everything into a full production.

Eating better = new recipes, meal plans, overhaul your kitchen
Working out = full program, an hour every day...
Getting back on track = fresh start, Monday, perfect plan

No wonder you don’t feel like doing it. It’s exhausting before you even start!

What if it was just

- eat something real first
- move your body a bit
- go outside, sit in the sun, reset your head for a minute

That’s it. Something doable.

This video of me by the water, eating a sandwich, reading a few pages...counts more than the plan I keep putting off.

You don’t need more motivation. You need things that don’t feel like a whole event to begin!

Start small. It works!

I've been guilty of turning movement into just another thing to check off. You?

Getting stuck in the mindset of just get the steps in, do it for the tracker, check it off the list, etc...

But it’s funny how different it feels when you go outside without treating it like a task. No pace to hit. No number you’re chasing.

And suddenly you notice things you’d normally walk right past

- Geese and their babies soaking up the sun
- Flowers and greenery popping colour everywhere
- A huge number of swans just vibing đŸ€Ł

If we're just walking for steps, we might miss these wonders! I’m not saying tracking is bad, I still do track...But not every walk has to be something you complete on a to-do list.

Sometimes it can be just something you experience.

And the steps? Well, they kind of just
 happen anyway. đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

One thing that’s made eating better feel way easier for me is that I have up trying to eat perfectl  and just made my lazy options a bit better. Cause...let's be real, that's the reality most days đŸ€Ł.

Most days I’m not up to cooking some balanced meal from scratch. I’m just hungry and want something fast. You know?

So now I keep a few go-to things ready:
- I’ll cook a pack of chicken or ground turkey (or any protein of choice) and keep it in the fridge.
- Wash and cut up fruit and veggies so it’s already there (grab and go!).
- Have things like wraps, rice, eggs, yogurt, bagged salad.

So when I’m starving and don’t feel like thinking, it’s more like:
– throw chicken, salad mix, and dressing in a bowl
– wrap with turkey, cheese, and whatever veggies are there
– yogurt, fruit, and some granola
– eggs and toast with fruit on the side

Nothing fancy. No recipe. Takes like 5-10 minutes. But it’s way better than standing in the kitchen debating what to eat and ending up grabbing something of low nutritional value.

I don’t try to be on track anymore...I just make the better option easier to grab when I’m not in the mood to try.

That’s what’s actually stuck for me. I plan for lazy 😎.

What’s your current go-to when you’re starving and don’t feel like thinking?

I remember reading a quote once that started with "No one's coming to save you..." blah blah blah. I don't remember the rest, but I remember thinking: Good. Don't. I'll save me.

I'd like to say it's because I'm a badass, but it actually came from a deep wound of having to be independent, not because I was strong, but because I just had to be. I always knew that no one was coming to save me.

And while that's dark, I do think it's a good message for a lot of us. We do need to realize that no one is coming to magically fix our energy, our mood, our habits, or our life.

Which honestly? Rude. 😂
But also
 kind of freeing.

Because it means we don’t have to wait around for the perfect time, the right motivation, or some version of us that has it all together.

We could just
 start taking care of ourselves.

Even if it’s messy. Even if we don’t feel like it. Even if it’s just getting a walk in and calling that a win for the day.

Turns out, you don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to decide “I’ve got me” and start acting like it.

Not perfectly though, just consistently enough.
That’s where things actually start to change!

What actually throws you off the most?

Is it when you’re tired after a long day and everything feels like too much? When your routine gets interrupted and you don’t know how to adjust? When your mood is off and suddenly nothing feels worth the effort?

Because I don’t think most people struggle with knowing what to do
I think they struggle with what to do *when life doesn’t feel ideal*. Which...is pretty frequent for most of us đŸ€Ł!

We focus so much on changing everything and what to do when we're motivated, but we should be focused on what actually works in real life, not just on good days.

What’s the moment where things usually start to slip for you?
