At last week’s art workshop at Paths of Courage, we painted rocks with words, symbols, colours, and reminders of hope... not only for the participants there, but for those who will walk these paths after.
Each rock became a small invitation:
You are welcome here
You are not alone
You matter
Keep going
Rest
You belong
Healing can at times feel both deeply personal and isolating, but from my experiences navigating mental health supports over the years there is something profoundly restorative about coming together with others who understand... creating alongside one another, and contributing something meaningful to a shared space!
Collective healing reminds us that while our stories may be different, we can still hold space for one another, and leave something behind that says, "I was here, and I care about those also on this path".
These rocks, small messages of hope, will remain throughout Paths of Courage's beautiful garden as reminders that care can travel beyond us. That someone we may never meet can still receive something we chose to give.
Healing happens within us, but it can also happen between us 🌿
