It’s that time of the week for another Throwback Thursday! 🎉
This week’s modality is the TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) machine. This modality may be similar to the EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) presented last week, but rather than targeting muscle fibres, this machine targets sensory nerves! This handy tool is used across all of our clinics.

This week we had our annual concussion baseline tests with the CEC football team. We were so happy to see all the athletes come out to get tested and complete the proper steps for a safer return to play after a head injury. 🏈

This test gives health care professionals a deeper understanding of how an athlete performs before an injury, including balance, cognitive skills, vision, reaction time, and symptoms. This test allows health care professionals to compare results before and after a concussion. 🧠

We are still accepting appointments for individuals or sports teams if there are risks of head contact. If you are interested in booking a baseline test for yourself or a team, contact us at our clinics below. We will set you up with a day and time to get this test done! ✅

Last week was Erica’s final week with us here at the Physio One Clinics!

Erica’s last day is tomorrow! Delia will be taking over at the Bible Hill Location and we are so excited to have her here!

Logan has been shadowing at our Truro location this summer on Thursdays. He is going into his 4th year of Kinesiology at Acadia and this is his 2nd summer shadowing our Physiotherapists! Logan is possibly considering a future as a physiotherapist. He enjoys most sports, particularly running! Thanks for a great summer Logan!
