People often tell me: "I can't meditate because my mind won't stop wandering."

Here's the truth: The wandering isn't the problem.

Noticing that it wandered is the practice.

Every time you gently bring your attention back to your breath, you're strengthening awareness.

You're training the mind.

You're creating space between yourself and your thoughts.

That's where peace begins. In the space between yourself and your thoughts.

My free guide includes a simple daily meditation practice anyone can do: 3 Tools to Find Inner Peace, Daily Practice Guide.

In just 10 minutes a day, you can train your mind to create space.

Have you searched for peace, sitting on the dock at the cottage or on vacation gazing at the water, yet stuck in your thoughts about the call you chose not to answer?

That one unanswered call. Killing your peace.

We all search for peace in our busy, hectic lives. But where do we actually find it?

Is it in the hot bath? Is it on vacation or at the cottage? Is it when you stop working and take a break?

Or, is it that soft, calm, sensation inside you?

I know I've had many baths and struggled to feel that soft, calm inside.

I've been on the dock, looking at the beautiful sunset with that uneasy feeling about the work left undone.

True inner peace isn't found in your surroundings. Surroundings can help you create inner peace - a peaceful atmosphere is easier to feel at peace in than a chaotic one, for sure.

But you can be in the most peaceful place on the planet and not feel at peace.

True inner peace is something you create inside you. It's an experience. A feeling.

And it's a feeling that you can create.

You choose what's happening inside, what you focus your mind on, and what you believe about yourself and your life.

That's why self-awareness is so powerful.

To be aware of what you think and believe is the first step to choosing peace.

Learn how to become self-aware and create that place of peace inside with my free guide: 3 Tools to Find Inner Peace. Click over to my profile and grab the free guide pinned in my Featured Section.

"All will be well" OR "This too shall pass", common phrases we tell ourselves to help us cope with struggle. Yet these statements keep wellness and the passing of "this" in the future!

It's just like when we say, "one day I will..." or "some day.." One day and some day never arrive. Why? Because we always refer to them as some undetermined date in the future.

Do you want wellness now or some obscure time in the future?

Words we speak everyday have a direct impact on our actions.

Try this:
All IS well.
This IS passing.
Today I will...

Suddenly the whole tone changes. It's feels like, "now she means business".

It is empowering. Decisive.

It now feels like this:
I'm not going to let this struggle continue.
I'm doing something now to create wellness now, make 'this' move forward now, get doing or planning the 'one day/ some day' dream.

What words do you use regularly that keep your desires stuck in the future?

This kind of self-awareness is what people use to move the needle, build and scale a business, empower themselves to feel confident and proud of their talents and expertise.

It's not just mindset. It's also the words they consciously choose to speak inside their own minds.

Find this kind of self-awareness inside you with guidance and support and my Self-Transformation Method (a 6 step self-talk methodology to transform the foundation of your actions and reactions.) Book an Inner Shift Session with me to privately lead you through a transformation of your patterned thoughts by examining old, false beliefs that keep you stuck and limited. Imagine responding to life's challenges with calm instead of reaction.

So often we overthink things, spiral emotionally, and replay the same story over and over.

Yet reacting with calmness is possible.

A woman I worked with in my Inner Shift Session wanted to change her anger response whenever she heard her mother-in-law's voice. Their relationship was so strained that the mere sound of her voice grated on her nerves.

She was tired of feeling angry.

She knew there was little she could do to better the relationship, and with honesty, she admitted she wasn't really interested in doing so. But she did want to cool her inner automatic emotional response to this woman.

She started this path of self-change by paying close attention to her feelings and thoughts about her mother-in-law. A common theme was present among her thoughts - a belief that was the true source of her responses.

That belief was: She will never like me.

But attached to that belief was a strong desire to be liked - by everyone.

Her anger was a response to a more relevant belief: I need to be liked by everyone.

This was incredibly insightful and this realization alone has created enormous change in her.

It opened her mind to see all the places in her life where she feels insecure.

And being able to identify these places as they arise has empowered her to own this insecurity and tap into more supportive beliefs she has about her talents, abilities, and strengths.

There is much more to her process than I am sharing here. Suffice it to say, she took a close look at her need to have everyone like her in an "honest with self" kind of way and realized how untrue that belief really was.

She chose to believe instead that she is a strong, confident woman (which she knew and felt already) and if people couldn't see that in her then she didn't need them to like her. She now looks for her "tribe" rather than trying to fit in everywhere.

She no longer needs her mother-in-law to like her. This has quelled her anger significantly. And while they still have their issues, that same anger isn't there anymore. She has moments of calm amid their issues.

That is a big change!

To have this kind of inner change requires that you know yourself.

You just had a productive day. Yet you keep replaying that one part of a conversation that really angered in you?

You just can't seem to let it go.

You wonder if you need to have a private word with that person, but question if that would solve this.

You tell yourself things like, "It wasn't that big a deal", "Why do I care what that particular person said!", yet you still feel upset, angry.

This isn't the first time this has happened. You ask yourself, why does it keep repeating? You want to let this go, once and for all.

Yet the question really is:
why has your mind has latched onto these events at all?

You don't need to relive these uncomfortable, upsetting, and offensive experiences.

You need to understand your own reaction and thoughts.

You won't be able to let it go until you take a look at the source of your reaction.

That is the first step toward changing your reactions.

Self-awareness of your innermost thoughts and feelings is where you begin to shift into inner peace and calm - that place were these types of situations will no longer bother you.

When you become aware of your thoughts, beliefs, and emotional reactions, you gain the power to transform them.

How do you become aware of your innermost thoughts and feelings?

Here's a Daily Practice Guide: 3 Tools to Find Inner Peace to help get you started.

Just 10 minutes a day. Pick a practice to pay attention inside your mind in specific ways to get to know your own mind. The insights alone will change you - help you become more the person you want to be - calmer, open-minded, focused.

One of the most powerful things you can do for your wellbeing takes just 10 minutes.

Sit quietly. Close your eyes. Watch your thoughts.

Try not to judge or analyze your thoughts. Just observe.

When you step back and watch the mind, you begin to see the patterns running your life.

When you can see the patterns running your life, you can consciously choose to make some changes.

Awareness creates choice. Choice creates change.

Are you secretly holding yourself back from the life you actually want?

We all have big dreams and changes we want to make. But how many times have you stopped yourself with thoughts like these?

"I can't afford that."

"I don't have the time right now."

"I'm just not ready or skilled enough."

Here is the truth: those aren't facts. They are just limiting beliefs your mind uses to play it safe.

The most frustrating part? Even when you force yourself to ignore those thoughts and do the thing anyway, you usually get hit with a massive wave of guilt or anxiety.

Why does that happen? Because changing your surface-level thoughts isn't enough if your root beliefs remain untouched.

How do you change these limiting beliefs?
How do you get that inner voice to support you?

onight! 7:30-9pm on zoom...

I am guest speaking at Sacred Connections Circle presenting my Inner Change workshop featuring my Self-Transformation Method - which is the content of my book and my course!

Experience a shift in how you respond to your triggers.

What a great thing to experience! A change inside you that stops you from reacting the same old way.

We all have these patterns.

The ones where something happens and you react automatically in a way that feels icky.

You can change that!

And I will show you how. ... Tonight!

Our reactions are governed by our beliefs.

Our beliefs form our foundation that tells us how to navigate human life.

When our beliefs are contradicted in some way, we react.

"Gasp! She disrespected me!"

"Oh you did not just do that!"

You can almost hear the belief statement behind these thoughts:

Respect is non-negotiable

Appropriate behaviour is...

And you can feel the emotion in those thought statements:

Shock, annoyance, anger, hurt.

Yet we don't have to respond like that.

We can rewrite and edit our beliefs to soften our responses and/or completely change our responses.

I'd love for you join us tonight to experience a shift in a belief that doesn't support you.

Send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE if you want to attend and give me your email to ensure you get the zoom link.
