Embodied Flow Yoga with Sound — Fire Horse Rising is more than a yoga class. It's an invitation to reconnect with your body, awaken your vitality, and explore the balance between grounded presence and personal freedom.

Accompanied by a live sound journey curated by mochilero, breath and movement weave together to create a dynamic and deeply nourishing practice—one that invites both strength and softness, flow and stillness.

Join John Alton for Experience Non-Violent Communication, a beginner-friendly workshop exploring the powerful practice of compassionate communication and authentic connection.

Rooted in the teachings of Non-Violent Communication (NVC), this interactive session combines grounding practices, embodied exploration, partner exercises, and group discussion to help participants better understand themselves and others.

Whether you're looking to strengthen relationships, improve communication skills, or simply become a more compassionate listener, this workshop offers tools that can create lasting change.

Our festival weekend is almost here! A few helpful reminders before you arrive:

🪪 Photo ID is required to pick up your pass.

💵 This is a cash-only event. Please come prepared with cash for vendors, the Elixir Bar, and other purchases.

☕ Enjoy handcrafted elixirs, tea, and Oso Negro coffee from our outdoor Elixir Bar.

♻️ Bring your own plate, bowl, mug, cutlery, and water bottle to help us keep waste to a minimum. A community wash station will be available throughout the weekend.

🧘 Don't forget your yoga mat, cozy layers, rain gear, journal, and anything else that helps you feel comfortable and supported.

🫂 As a reminder, the Kootenay Wellness Festival is a sober, alcohol-free gathering focused on connection, wellbeing, and community.

🍲 Meal tickets can be purchased in advance with your pass or onsite throughout the weekend.

⛺️ Camping is available nearby. Check your registration email for booking details.

✨ Explore all the spaces the festival has to offer, including the Healing Zone, Community Art Mandala, Spiritual Recovery Sanctuary, and the Pharatree Kids Zone for children ages 5+.

🌙🩸 Your Cycle Is More Than a Calendar

Join for Cycle Awareness is Body Awareness, a beginner-friendly workshop exploring the four inner seasons of the menstrual cycle and the unique energies, needs, and strengths that accompany each phase.

Through cycle tracking and body literacy, participants will learn how to work with their body's natural rhythms rather than against them, cultivating greater self-awareness, self-trust, and vitality.

Community Passes 🤝 Low & No-Barrier Access

At the heart of the Kootenay Wellness Festival is a simple belief: wellness should be accessible, not exclusive.

Our Community Pass program exists to reduce financial barriers and make it possible for more people in our region to participate in a weekend of connection, movement, learning, music, and collective care.

As we head into the final week before we gather on June 12–14, we've released a limited number of Community Passes to help make the festival more accessible. These full weekend passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis while quantities last:

5 completely free passes

5 passes at $50

8 passes at $100

15 passes at $150

If you’ve been wanting to attend but finances have been a barrier, we hope this program creates a path for you to still engage with the festival offerings.

If this support would make the difference between attending and staying home, please visit our website and the 'Buy Your Pass' tab. We ask everyone to choose a tier that honestly reflects their current capacity while keeping in mind the needs of others in our community. All passes are FCFS.

Some of our most meaningful moments of connection happen when we let our guard down, get curious, and allow ourselves to be playful.

Join Valerie Evans for Embracing Play Seriously Helps, a joyful and beginner-friendly workshop designed to reconnect participants with authenticity, creativity, and genuine human connection.

Through guided meditation, interactive games, movement, conversation, music, drawing, and optional touch, you'll explore what it feels like to engage with others from a place of presence, innocence, and play.

Festival kicks off this Friday, June 12!
