✨ NEW gelateria ✨
soft-opened inside 1003 Brunch & Dessert, a spot known for having one of the most affordable afternoon tea sets in town ($75 for two).

Their gelato has super rich and distinct flavors. All my top favorites are the cheesecake, which literally tastes like a real, rich slice turned into gelato, a London Fog with a hint of lemon, a punchy salted caramel, and the super refreshing peach.

You can get them in a cup or cone, but you can also add a scoop on top of your drink or pair it with waffles. My personal recommendation is the Affogato Tiramisu!

👉️Starting on the 9th, they're planning to stay open until around 10pm, so make sure to check them out!

が、お得なアフタヌーンティーセット（2名分で75ドル）で知られる 1003 Brunch & Dessert の店内にソフトオープンしました。

こちらのジェラートは、どれも味が濃厚で素材の風味がしっかり感じられます。私のお気に入りは、本物の濃厚なケーキをそのままジェラートにしたようなチーズケーキ味、ほんのりレモンが香るロンドンフォグ、パンチの効いたソルテッドキャラメル、そしてとても爽やかなピーチです。

カップやコーンで楽しめるのはもちろん、ドリンクの上にトッピングしたり、ワッフルと一緒に味わうこともできます。個人的な一押しはアフォガートティラミスです！

MINISO Canada just released a bunch of new One Piece collab items, from keychains, lunch boxes, and tumblers to cute pet hats, and they're available early at the Metropolis at Metrotown pop-up! The pop-up is till the end of August, and after that, these items will be available at other Miniso stores as well.

✨ Exceptional Dessert Kaiseki Collaboration ✨

I tried the dessert kaiseki course which was a collaboration between chef Tatsuya from Stem Japanese Eatery and Kenta Takahashi from Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar

"Kaiseki" is a traditional multi-course Japanese dining experience that meticulously highlights seasonal ingredients.

While future collaboration dates have not been announced yet, Stem Japanese Eatery currently offers their omakase sushi course and sake pairing menu. If you want to enjoy chef Kenta's stunning desserts, you can find them at Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar

👉️ Also, the hokke lunch teishoku at Stem, which I recently posted about and still crave, has officially been added to their regular menu due to popular demand!

Stem Japanese Eatery のタツヤシェフと、Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar のケンタシェフによるコラボレーションによる、特別なデザート懐石コースをいただいてきました。

「懐石」とは、旬の食材を繊細に活かした伝統的な日本のコース料理のことです。

✨NEW food trailer Japadog kitchen✨️

JAPADOG opened a brand new food trailer offering so much more than just their iconic hot dogs.

You can now get Omurice in four options: Classic, Curry, Tonkatsu Curry, and Wagyu Hamburg. They also serve Curry Rice with options like Classic, Chicken Karaage Cheese, Katsu, and Wagyu Hamburg, as well as a trailer-exclusive Sh**un Fire Karaage Bowl. For hot dogs, they're serving the Kurobuta Terimayo and Sh**un Fire🔥

👉️They are currently experimenting with their schedule, but they will be open on July 30, and August 4, 5, and 6 from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

JAPADOG が、定番のホットドッグにとどまらないメニューを取り揃えた新しいフードトレーラーをオープンしました。

オムライスは、クラシック、カレー、トンカツカレー、和牛ハンバーグの4種類。また、カレーライス（クラシック、唐揚げチーズ、カツ、和牛ハンバーグ）や、トレーラー限定の将軍ファイヤー唐揚げ丼も！ホットドッグは、黒豚テリマヨと将軍ファイヤーを販売中です。

👉️現在は試験的に営業を行っているそうで、7月30日、および8月4日、5日、6日の11:30〜17:00に営業予定です。

✨️NEW Japanese shortcakes in a cup✨️

an iconic brand from Uji, Japan is my go-to spot for afternoon tea (their current set is $86 for 2, available till early October 2026). They just released new "cup" cakes in 9 different flavors!

Each cup contains a layer of light sponge cake and a mousse-like textured matcha or hojicha base, paired with another another flavor such as strawberry. Even though they are light, the flavors are rich and satisfying✨️

京都・宇治発祥の言わずと知れた名店 辻利リッチモンド店から9種類のフレーバーが楽しめる新作の「カップ」ケーキが登場しました！
ちなみに私はここのアフタヌーンティーが好きでよく通ってます。現在のセットは2名で$86、2026年10月上旬までの期間限定。

それぞれのカップには、スポンジケーキの層と、ムースのような食感の抹茶またはほうじ茶ベース+イチゴなどの異なるフレーバーの層が入っています。軽いのに、味が濃厚なので満足感があります。味は全9種類！持ち運びにも便利なのが嬉しいです✨️

✨ Japanese restaurant recommendation ✨

I'm officially adding to my list of favorite Japanese restaurants. Most of their fish is flown in directly from Japan, and you can even find rare items like "Hamo" aka Daggertooth pike conger here.

I was so impressed by their tempura, not many places in BC do it right! The Wagyu is also the real deal, we had authentic A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. The menu is on the pricier side, but for the quality of the dishes, I think it’s very reasonable. For example, Omakase Sushi is 6pcs for $40 and the Omakase Sashimi platter is $60, +$22 for Bluefin tuna otoro.

And don't get me started on the wasabi! They have three tiers, and we tried the middle one. It was so good🤤 The top tier is fresh grated wasabi for $20, which I heard is barely breaking even.

👉️For those looking for a deal, they have happy hour every day, and they also offer a $28 lunch gozen on weekdays!

私の新たなお気に入りレストラン の紹介です。ほとんどの魚は日本からの直送、鱧の天ぷらには感動しました。バンクーバーでちゃんと天ぷらを揚げれるお店は少ないので…和牛も正真正銘のA5ランク宮崎牛。全体的にお値段は少し張りますが、お料理のクオリティを考えると非常に納得のいく価格設定だと思います。一例として、おまかせ寿司は6貫で40ドル、おまかせ刺身盛り合わせは60ドル（本マグロ大トロはプラス22ドル）です。

またわさびは3段階のグレードに分かれていて、今回真ん中のランクを試しましたが、これが本当に美味しかったです🤤 一番上のランクは20ドルの生わさびですが、利益をほとんど度外視して提供されているそうですよ！

✨$4.99~ dim sum options✨
ca is a fast-food style dim sum spot where you can get most of their dim sum items for just $4.99, and unlimited soy milk and tea for only $1.
👉️They are currently in their soft opening phase and operating from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, though they are aiming to be open 24 hours in the future.

Their menu items rotate. When we went, they had $4.99 items like BBQ pork buns, har gow, lava buns, pork and shrimp buns, sticky rice pork bowls, shrimp egg custard, steamed pork ribs, chicken feet, tripes, and egg tarts, as well as chopped chili basa fish and mustard pork patty.
👉️It also looks like they are planning to offer skewers and hotpot down the road.

ファストフードスタイルの天心専門店 .ca へ行ってきました！ほんどの点心メニューが4.99ドル、1ドルで豆乳とお茶が飲み放題！将来的には24時間営業を目指しているとのことですが、現在はプレオープン中のため、午前7時から午後10時までの営業となっています。

メニューは入れ替わり制のようで、私たちが訪れた際の4.99ドルアイテムは、チャーシューまん、ハーガオ、流沙包（カスタードまん）、豚肉とエビのまんじゅう、豚肉のちまき風ボウル、エビの茶碗蒸し、スペアリブ、鶏の足（もみじ）、ハチノス、エッグタルト、白身魚（バサ）のチリ蒸しや、からし菜と豚肉のパテなどが並んでいました。

👉️今後は串焼きや火鍋などもメニューに加わる予定のようです。
