An RMTBC video site has been launched featuring recordings of all the presentations from the conference in April.

Conference attendees received an email last week giving them 90 days of free and unlimited access to the videos.

IJTMB seeks submissions (and reviewers!) for a special issue on Pain Management and Pain Science. The issue will showcase the potential for massage and bodywork to impact the understanding, treatment, and lived experience of pain, as well as quality of life and overall wellness.

IJTMB invites researchers, educators, practitioners, students, and advocates to submit original research, case reports, literature reviews, commentaries, and more (please see full description).

The submission deadline is December 31, 2026.

The Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) came into force on April1, 2026. The HPOA regulations and HPOA Bylaws will not change the day-to-day clinical practice of licensees.

The below requirements remain as part of licensure processes:

• Annual licence renewal
• Standards First-Aid/CPR-C requirements
• Criminal Records Check (CRC) Authorization

The core expectation for safe and ethical practice has not changed.
