Vancouver Adapted Music Society (VAMS)

Vancouver Adapted Music Society (VAMS) VAMS provides opportunities for people with disabilities to learn, create & perform music. “Musicians with disabilities still have to struggle to be heard.

And that’s why there will always be a role for VAMS.”

Founded in 1988 by Sam Sullivan and Dave Symington, the Vancouver Adapted Music Society (VAMS) aims to make music accessible for people living with physical disabilities. The idea is simple; everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of music. Through adapted instruments, the GF strong studio, and regular “Strong Sessions” concerts throughou

t the year, VAMS is able to offer differently abled musicians’ opportunities to write, record, perform and build friendships around their own original music. Ultimately VAMS aims to inspire confidence and community through music and to showcase that disability is not a barrier to creativity. We welcome all people, no matter what their level of musical ability or physical ability, to get involved with VAMS today!

It's finally here.

Ghost of You is officially out NOW on all streaming platforms.

This song came from a place of heartbreak, healing, and finally finding the strength to let go of someone who's been gone long before they actually left. If you've ever loved someone who became a memory while they were still standing beside you, this one's for you.

Every stream, share, playlist add, and comment makes a huge difference for an independent band like us. If the song means something to you, we'd love if you'd help us get it in front of more people.

🎧 Listen now, turn it up, and let us know what you think.

🎤 This clip from Agasha's performance with VAMS during CiTR's Access Day event features a snippet of her original song, "Take Time."

After experiencing a spinal cord injury at age 12, her passion for music became an outlet for healing and self-expression. As her artistic style continuously evolves, Agasha uses her music to tell stories and connect with her local community.
