That green-looking water may be more dangerous than it appears. πΏπΎ
Blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) can produce toxins that are harmful to pets if they swim in or drink contaminated water.
Before letting your pet splash around, check local water advisories and avoid water that looks discoloured, scummy, or has an unusual surface appearance.
If your pet swims in or drinks suspicious water, contact Cypress St. Animal Hospital at +1 (604) 734-2500 immediately.
