Pentland's Prosthetics & Orthotics Clinic has been serving the Province of British Columbia since 1954, providing clients with timely and efficient prosthetic and orthotic care. Services include clinical assessment of client needs, collaboration with doctors and other paramedical programs, manufacture of prosthetic & orthotic treatments and ongoing support and follow-up to ensure client safety and

A great few days in Montréal at the 2026 Orthotics, Prosthetics & Rehabilitation Conference last week.

Tim (General Manager), Malena (Certified Prosthetist), and Rayann (Prosthetic Technician) were proud to represent Pentland’s and spend time connecting, learning, and exchanging ideas with colleagues and industry partners from across Canada and beyond.

An especially proud moment for our team was seeing Rayann take the stage and present at this year’s conference! 👏 It’s always exciting to see members of our team contributing their knowledge and experience to the broader P&O community.

Thank you to Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC) and everyone involved in bringing our profession together for a few days of learning, collaboration, and great conversations.

We’re heading home inspired, reconnected, and excited to bring new ideas back to our teams and clients in BC. 💙

A custom Right Transradial Prosthesis for a very special little client, just 20 months old, at our Prince George office. 💙

Recently dispensed from our Vancouver office: a pediatric cranial remoulding orthosis, commonly known as a helmet for babies. 🩷💙

Cranial remoulding orthoses are custom-made to help gently guide the head shape as a baby grows. They may be recommended when a child has moderate to severe flattening or asymmetry that does not improve enough with repositioning, tummy time, or physiotherapy.

At Pentland’s, we provide free assessments with a physician’s prescription. For families with BC MSP, provincial health coverage may be available for eligible cases.

Early assessment is important, as treatment is most effective while the baby’s skull is still growing quickly.

Supporting children and their families is a special part of what we do. We know that starting helmet treatment can feel overwhelming at first, so our goal is to make the process as clear, comfortable, and reassuring as possible for both parents and little ones. 👶✨

Today at lunch, we had the pleasure of celebrating our client, Jessi Guerrier, a talented athlete from Burnaby and a member of Team BC.

In 2025, Jessi had an incredible season, including winning gold in the Women’s Wheelchair 100m at the Canada Summer Games and setting a new Canada Games record. She also earned silver in the Women’s Wheelchair 400m.

Jessi’s dedication, hard work, and determination are truly inspiring. We are so proud to be part of her journey and excited to keep cheering her on.

As Jessi now prepares for her next chapter in para athletics, we wish her continued success and will be cheering her on every step of the way.

Congratulations again, Jessi, keep pushing forward! 👏🥇🥈

A custom partial foot prosthesis designed to be worn inside the shoe.

This device helps accommodate the missing portion of the foot while providing support, comfort, and improved shoe fit for everyday walking.

Every partial foot prosthesis is shaped around the client’s anatomy, footwear, and functional needs, small device, big difference. ✨

Recent dispense from our Vancouver office: a right shoulder disarticulation prosthesis with fully myoelectric components, including the hand, elbow, and shoulder.

We are grateful to be part of the process and proud of the work our team continues to provide.

At Pentland’s, we are proud to provide both lower and upper extremity prosthetic care, including advanced myoelectric systems.

Recently dispensed 💙

A clean and simple custom AFO, finished in a warmer off-white tone selected by the client.

Customization doesn’t always have to be bold. Sometimes it’s the subtle details, like colour, finish, and comfort, that help make an orthosis feel more personal.

Function first, but always with the client in mind. ✨

Another custom KAFO was delivered at our Surrey clinic.

KAFOs help provide stability and support for individuals with lower limb weakness or mobility challenges, helping improve safety and confidence with every step.

Yesterday, our team had a wonderful time attending the Ottobock Full Circle Movement/Running Clinic Event! 👟🏃‍♂️💙

We were proud to have four of our clients participate alongside our Prosthetists, Iris Cheng, Malena Rapaport, and Dana Rousseau. It was an amazing opportunity for clients to connect with the community, try different running prostheses and adaptive sports products, and build confidence through movement and activity.

Thank you to Ottobock for organizing such an inclusive and supportive event. Our clients had a great time, and it was truly inspiring to see everyone encouraging one another throughout the day! 🙌
