🐉 Is your child searching for their adventuring party?

We’re starting a beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons group for students in Grades 5–8 at our Burnaby clinic!

Over five Wednesday sessions, participants will:

🎲 Learn the basics of Dungeons & Dragons
🧙 Create and develop a character
🗺️ Work together through an ongoing campaign
💡 Use creativity, flexible thinking and problem-solving
🤝 Connect with other kids through a shared interest

The group will be led by a teen Dungeon Master who is excited to introduce new players to the game.

No previous D&D experience is needed. This group is open to all kids and is designed to be especially welcoming to neurodivergent participants. Different communication styles, participation styles and ways of contributing are welcome.

Sometimes the persistent /r/ sound can be the hardest sound to change. It’s hard to see, tense, and the coordination for it is complex! At Mercury Speech & Language, we use ultrasound to see and treat that stubborn /r/. It works well in an intensive especially during the summer! Short term, concentrated sessions can be just the key to making a change in persistent /r/ sounds. DM or email us at [email protected] to learn more!

We're running a beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons group for students in Grades 5 through 8.
Over five weekly sessions, a small group of just five kids will work together to complete quests, make decisions, solve problems, and build a shared story.
What many parents don't realize is that D&D naturally creates opportunities to practice skills like perspective taking, flexible thinking, conversation, collaboration, and speaking in a group.
Players need to listen to each other, negotiate plans, advocate for their ideas, and adapt when things don't go as expected.
If your child loves stories, imagination, games, or creative problem-solving, this could be a great fit. DM us or email at [email protected]

You’ve been thinking about speech therapy.

Maybe since last fall.

Maybe since the last report card.

Maybe since your child’s teacher mentioned it.

Then life happened.

Summer is often the easiest time to finally get started.

A speech and language intensive gives your child focused support over one week, without trying to squeeze appointments into an already packed school-year schedule.

Your child gets dedicated time to work on communication goals.

You get a plan.

September arrives whether we’re ready for it or not. Why not use the summer to help your child build skills and confidence before school starts again?

☀️ Limited intensive spots available. DM or email to book!

⚔️ Calling all future adventurers! ⚔️

This summer, we’re launching a beginner Dungeons & Dragons campaign for students in Grades 5–8.

Over five sessions, players will work together to solve mysteries, overcome challenges, and create an unforgettable story.

While they’re busy exploring dungeons and making heroic decisions, they’ll also be practicing skills that support success in school, friendships, and everyday life:

🗺️ Collaboration
🗺️ Perspective-taking
🗺️ Flexible thinking
🗺️ Problem-solving
🗺️ Self-advocacy
🗺️ Group discussion skills

No D&D experience is needed. We’ll teach everything along the way.

The group is limited to just 5 participants so everyone has a chance to contribute to the adventure.

Interested? Email us at [email protected] to learn more!

A speech & language intensive is great for kids who may have summer full of travel and camps who would benefit from intense focus for skill building without committing to weekly sessions. Intensives are awesome for consistency and momentum for fast skill building and a great way to maintain or grow communication during summer break. DM or text us at 778-775-8255 to learn more!

Can your child say these things on the middle of an activity? Or do they let the interaction get away from them? Self advocacy is a skill that wasn’t taught to us as kids, and instead we learned to be polite of just lived with missing out. Our spring break group is led by an SLP and designed to teach your child the skills that they will carry through their lifetime of being able to ask for what they need so that they can speak up in the little moments and big moments.

Join us for spring break March 16-20 for our Burnaby self advocacy group. Led by a speech-language pathologist, this group teaches kids how to stand up for themselves with confidence to make sure that their needs are met. Limited spots are available!
