Runners, don't skip this. 🏃

Calf raises are one of the most underrated exercises you can add to your routine. Here's why they matter:

💪 Calf strength
Helps absorb impact with every stride, reducing stress on the knees and ankles over time.

⚖️ Ankle stability
Stronger calves mean better control and less risk of rolling or spraining your ankle on uneven terrain.

🚀 Push-off power
Your calves drive the push-off phase of your stride. More strength here means more efficient, powerful running.

🏃 Running capacity
Building calf endurance helps you run longer and stronger without fatigue catching up too quickly.

Save this as your reminder to not skip your calf exercises.

Back pain picked the wrong day to show up 😅

Our physio came prepared with movement, strength, and a plan.

Your body changes during pregnancy, and the way you move may need to change too 🤰

As your abdominal wall stretches, managing pressure through your core can help you stay c***ected with your movement and adapt to these changes.

Simple adjustments, like the way you get out of bed, can help you move with more control.

Instead of pushing straight up:
✅ Roll onto your side first
✅ Use your arms to help you push up
✅ Move in a way that feels supported

Pregnancy doesn’t mean stopping movement. It’s about learning how to adapt as your body changes. 🌱

Save this for later, and share it with someone who may find it helpful.

What happens to your core after pregnancy? 🤔

Your body continues to heal long after your baby arrives.

In the early postpartum months, many changes happen as your abdominal wall recovers and your body rec***ects with your core.

During a pelvic health assessment, we look at things like:
✅ How the tissue is responding
✅ Core tension and control
✅ Movement patterns
✅ Signs like coning or abdominal pressure changes

Every person’s recovery journey is different, and there is no single timeline that fits everyone.

Stay tuned for Part 4, where we’ll talk about managing core pressure and modifying movements during pregnancy.

One of the biggest misconceptions about diastasis recti? 👀

It’s often described as your abdominal muscles “separating,” but that’s not the full picture.

Diastasis recti involves stretching and changes to the c***ective tissue called the linea alba, which sits between your abdominal muscles.

Your body is designed to adapt during pregnancy, and this stretching is part of that process. 🤍

Understanding what’s happening can help take away the fear and confusion around postpartum recovery.

Follow along for Part 3, where we’ll talk about what happens after pregnancy and how your body continues to heal.

Have you heard the term diastasis recti but aren’t sure what it actually means? 👀

Diastasis recti is a common change that happens during pregnancy as the abdominal wall stretches to make room for your growing baby.

Think of your abdominal muscles like a roll of Play-Doh. When it stretches, the tissue between the muscles changes, allowing your body to adapt to the changes happening during pregnancy. 🤰

It’s a normal part of how the body accommodates growth, but understanding what’s happening can help you feel more confident in your recovery journey.

Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll clear up one of the biggest misconceptions about diastasis recti.

Good news if you've been meaning to book with Steven. 👀

He's offering two complimentary assessments for a limited time as a little welcome to the clinic. Whether you're an existing Insync patient or completely new to us, if you haven't seen Steven before, this one's for you.

Here's what's on offer:

🦴 Joint Health Assessment
A focused evaluation of your joints, muscles, and movement patterns. Expect hands-on testing of joint mobility, alignment, and strength to help identify any restrictions or imbalances that may be affecting how you feel and perform.

🌬️ Breathing Assessment
An analysis of how your diaphragm, rib cage, and core work together to support your posture and movement. You might be surprised how much your breathing patterns can influence your strength, stability, and discomfort levels.

Steven is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2 to 6 PM at our Cambie location.

To claim your complimentary assessment, head to our online booking page and choose the option that feels right for you. Available for a limited time, so don't wait too long. 😄
