We're proud to be collaborating with Granddaughters Home Care for the Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run on Sunday, October 11, at Prince's Island Park.

Together, we'll be walking 5K to support individuals and families affected by dementia, raise awareness, and help ensure that no family faces this journey alone.

Classic Cares in Action! 🌟

Last month, Ruth and Jaishika from our Calgary team turned the funds raised through their recycling drive into an opportunity to give back. What started as a fun team activity sparked an idea to turn those funds into something that could make a difference in the community.

At Classic LifeCare, we believe our community extends beyond the people we support through our care. Classic Cares gives our team the space to think creatively about how we can support the people around us. With summer in mind, the team chose something simple and practical: food and water.

For Jaishika, there was something especially meaningful about preparing and sharing a meal with others. Together, the team prepared sandwiches and provided food and water to community members in need in downtown Calgary, turning a small recycling initiative into a thoughtful gesture of care.

We’re grateful to everyone on our Calgary team who helped bring this idea to life. Thank you for showing that there are many ways to live out the spirit of Classic Cares, sometimes through something as simple as a meal shared with others. 💙

September is almost here, and our Calgary Pediatric Team is ready! 🍂🎒

Over the past few weeks, our team completed two Back-to-School Simulation Training sessions, giving Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Health Care Aides (HCAs) the opportunity to practice real-life school care scenarios before the school year begins. Using specialized equipment and mannequins, participants worked through hands-on situations they may encounter while supporting children, helping them build confidence and strengthen their skills.

This specialized training is designed to ensure our team feels confident, and families feel safe knowing their children are supported by capable, well-trained professionals.

This is the second year we've offered this specialized training, complemented by educational modules through iTacit to support ongoing learning and professional growth.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped make both training days a success. We're incredibly proud of our Calgary Pediatric Team and their commitment to providing exceptional school-based and respite care.

As we welcome fall, we're ready to make a positive impact, one child, one family, and one meaningful moment at a time. 💙🍁

An afternoon of community, food, and fun! ☀️💛

Today, a few of our Classic LifeCare team members had the pleasure of volunteering at the Steeves Manor Annual BBQ, and it was truly a special afternoon.

There was something so lovely about being together — sharing a meal, meeting wonderful people, enjoying a few laughs, and simply being part of the community. Our team had such a meaningful time connecting with everyone and soaking up the warmth and joy of the day. 🥰

A heartfelt thank you to Kits House and BC Housing for bringing everyone together and creating such a beautiful celebration filled with colour, connection, and community spirit. 🌈

We’re grateful to have been part of an afternoon that left our hearts a little fuller. 💙

Nothing brings people together quite like a Stampede breakfast

Our Calgary team kicked off the morning with good food, great company, and plenty of Stampede spirit. From pancakes to shared laughs, it was a wonderful reminder that the strongest teams are built through the moments we share.

June 15 was World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and our Calgary team showed up. Our team wore purple in support of raising awareness and standing against elder abuse in all its forms.

Even the Calgary Tower lit up purple for the occasion 💡
