Register now for the 2026 BCCSU Substance Use Care Update. This FREE one-day, virtual learning event is intended primarily for healthcare professionals providing substance use and addiction care in BC.

The first half of this all-day virtual event will feature educational sessions exploring new knowledge, emerging trends, and practice-related updates. The second half will feature educational sessions showcasing innovations, experiences, and learnings from substance use care programs, practices, and initiatives across BC’s health authorities.

Every August 31, International Overdose Awareness Day brings a global community together to take action on overdose.

This year the theme for IOAD is "25 Years On. Still Needed."

For 25 years, International Overdose Awareness Day has brought people together to remember those we’ve lost and to take action to save lives.

There will be a number of events across the province to remember those lost to overdose, educate about overdose, or advocate for change to end overdose.
