Over the next little while, I'm going to start sharing some of the simple things I've learned after helping thousands of women through perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause.
And because many of them are things I do myself.
One of those is goji berry tea.
I drink it regularly, and it's one of my favourite nourishing teas during perimenopause.
Here's why...
From a nutrition perspective, goji berries are naturally rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, carotenoids, and other plant compounds that help protect our cells from oxidative stress—which becomes even more important as estrogen begins to decline.
They also contain nutrients that support healthy aging, eye health, immune function, and healthy blood sugar balance.
But what I love even more is looking at them through the lens of Ayurveda.
Their naturally sweet taste is thought to help build ojas—our reserve of vitality, resilience, and life force.
And honestly... isn't that exactly what so many women tell me they're missing?
"I just don't feel like myself anymore."
"I have no energy."
"I'm exhausted all the time."
Perimenopause isn't just about changing hormones.
It's about learning to nourish yourself differently.
Sometimes that starts with something as simple as making yourself a cup of tea.
I steep a handful of organic goji berries in hot water for about 10–15 minutes, sip the tea, and then eat the berries afterwards.
Simple.
Nourishing.
And one small ritual that reminds me to slow down and take care of myself.
If you're navigating perimenopause, I'd love to have you here. 💛
Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be sharing more of the simple things I personally do—and the little pearls I've learned after nearly 20 years of helping women through this transition.
