Dr. Garcia holds an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and completed her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. In addition to her academic training, she has pursued advanced education in prenatal, paediatric, and postnatal care, and is certified in acupuncture, taping, scar work therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques, and cupping.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a strong clinical focus on supporting women through preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery with individualized rehabilitation programs. Caring for both mothers and their infants is especially meaningful to her, and she is passionate about advancing the standard of postpartum care.

Her approach integrates a range of evidence-based techniques, including soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, rehabilitation exercise, cupping, and instrument-assisted therapy. From your first visit, you will work together to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Dr. Melissa is currently on maternity leave and plans to return part-time in July. In the meantime, she hopes to stop by the clinic occasionally throughout June with her little one to say hello and meet you all! 🤍✨

Meet Dr. Logan Senchuk ✨

Born and raised in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Dr. Senchuk completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology (Exercise & Sport Studies) at the University of Saskatchewan before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2020. During his time at CMCC, he served as a tutor in anatomy and neuroanatomy, further strengthening his expertise in the neuromusculoskeletal system.

Since graduating, he has been practicing in Saskatoon, where he has built a reputation for thoughtful, individualized, and results-driven care.

Dr. Senchuk takes a personalized approach to treatment, combining education and a variety of techniques to help patients understand the root of their concerns and achieve lasting results, whether that means returning to sport, improving performance, or simply moving through daily life with less pain.

Outside the clinic, you can find him on the golf course, exploring new restaurants, enjoying live music, playing guitar or snowboarding in the mountains.

He looks forward to helping you move and feel your best.

This is one of the hardest posts we’ve had to write.

After an incredible decade serving this community, we’ve made the decision to transition ownership of the Powerhouseand move to Italy for the next chapter of our family’s life.

The Powerhouse has meant everything to us. The trust you’ve placed in us… the stories you’ve shared… we’ve never taken any of it lightly.

In many ways, this feels like leaving family. ❤️

We’re so excited for you to meet the new owners, Drs. Melissa and Logan, an incredible chiropractic duo who share the same heart for care, connection, and community.

You’ll start seeing them more throughout June as they step in, and your care will continue seamlessly with a team we trust fully.

Spending the weekend in Calgary at the NZCC Lyceum learning from world-class researchers like Heidi Haavik.

What stood out most is how modern neuroscience continues to explore the connection between the spine, the brain, and how we experience and interact with the world around us.

As a chiropractor, I’m always looking to better understand how care can support:
• Movement and coordination
• Body awareness
• Adaptability and resilience

Grateful to keep learning, refining, and bringing that knowledge back to practice.

Bad posture isn’t really a posture problem.

It’s a brain problem.

Your brain runs your body using information.

Every second, millions of signals travel from your spine and muscles up to your brain telling it:

“Here’s where the body is.”
“Here’s how much tension is here.”
“Here’s how safe or stressed we are.”

Your brain uses that information to decide:

• how much muscle tension to create
• how you hold your body
• how efficiently you move
• how much energy you burn doing it

When the nervous system is clear and regulated, posture organizes itself.

The body naturally stacks.

Muscles coordinate.

Movement becomes efficient.

But when the nervous system shifts into stress patterns, everything changes.

The brain starts prioritizing protection over efficiency.

And protection looks like:

• tight shoulders
• forward head posture
• shallow breathing
• locked spinal segments
• constant muscle tension

Your body isn’t “lazy.”

It’s running a survival strategy.

And the longer that pattern runs, the more the brain wires it in.

That’s why posture exercises alone rarely fix the real issue.

Because the pattern isn’t in the muscles.

It’s in the nervous system.

This is where Torque Release Chiropractic is different.
