A bit about you:
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience in a people management role.
- You have at least 5 years practice experience in health care delivery.
- You have knowledge of the professions regulated by the College, professional trends, the Health Professions and Occupations Act, CHCPBC Ethics and Practice Standards, Bylaws, and other related legislation, and other qualifications/skills.
- If you also have a graduate degree in health policy, health services research, public administration, law, or other related fields, that's an asset.

In the latest Message From the Registrar, CHCPBC Registrar and CEO Dianne Millette looks at provincial regulations and overlapping scope of practice.

Excerpts from Dianne’s message: “Regulations define who may practise a health profession, what titles may be used, and a scope of practice statement that broadly describes what a profession may do … BC has a shared scope of practice model for regulated health professions. This is intended to enable interprofessional practice, team-based care, and to balance public safety and consumer choice … Many professions overlap in practice—especially as interdisciplinary teams evolve and health professions share roles and responsibilities.”

Are you a CHCPBC licensee looking for summer viewing ideas? Licensees are invited to watch videos of profession-specific webinars that the College presented in June. In the webinars, CHCPBC practice advisors and other staff answered questions about the Ethics and Practice Standards that apply to the nine professions we regulate, changes to restricted activities, and other changes defined in the Health Professions and Occupations Act and provincial regulations.

The four-part webinar series offers tailored content that is relevant to the professions, grouped as follows: Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists; Psychologists; Opticians and Optometrists; and Audiologists, Hearing Instrument Practitioners, and Speech-Language Pathologists.

The College of Health and Care Professionals of BC is seeking feedback on proposed amendments to the CHCPBC Bylaws.

The proposed amendments are primarily clarifying and administrative, supporting consistent application of existing licensure, certification, permit, and education equivalency requirements without introducing major new policy changes.

The amendments, an overview of the proposed changes, and links to online feedback forms are available in the Proposed Bylaw Amendments section of the CHCPBC website: https://chcpbc.org/legislation/ .
